I could lend a hand too. If you're going to do plugs and downpipe, i would consider doing the uppipe at the same time.
I have a crank pulley to install this weekend as well.

    If we're talking beer....I'll do it all myself....but you're gonna owe me a $hitload of beer. :)

I'm with Pat....I can definately help with the downpipe...if you don't have all new Subaru gaskets....you should get them....don't reuse the old crap. I've never done plugs before...but there is a first time for everything....especially when someone like yourself volunteers to be the Guinnea Pig. :)

I'm going to do my Transmission fluid this weekend too. I was gonna jack it up Friday night and let it drain overnight and then re-fill in the a.m.

When and where....name a time and place!

+1 on the gaskets, maybe even consider getting those new gaskets Justin has on Grimmspeed.com
I've done plugs on mine when i did the turbo.
I think we can tackle that uppipe without any problems - except that I don't drink cheap crap beer anymore!

Nor do I. Hoegaarden FTW. BTW Grolsch has mini kegs.......:yumyum:
I do need to find some gaskets yet, I don't believe clements keeps them in stock.
Also, I might be up for helping/watching the crank pulley. I am now considering doing one on mine.

By the way.....the "thank you" beers were most excellent! I was going to just drink the red last night and ended up drinking both....good stuff! Great job! I'm going to be picking your brain about what is involved.

Crank pulley is easy....one of the first mods I did.

    Hey Steve~
I'm waiting for my accessport to arrive from Rally Sport. I was wondering if it is hard to figure out and use? If so would you be willing to show me how to use it?

Well, I dont know if I'll be able to get the Grimspeed gaskets by this weekend. I still plan on most of the other stuff.

Anybody want to donate a garage? Otherwise it'll be in my driveway Saturday around noon.

P.S. About time you get a damn avatar Nickole! :)

I don't know if I can compensate that much. For reals, if someone can lend an air compressor we've got power tools.

    Sorry...I don't own a air compressor.

Sorry I didn't offer sooner...I was being a space case.....I'll volunteer the use of my garage tomorrow as a primary or backup....but would need to wrap things up by late afternoon....so the wife can take me out to dinner. :)

I have most of the hand tools needed and have a floor jack, 4 jack stands and ramps.

Otherwise...I'll go where ever and lend a hand.

I don't believe we screwed the relay to anything when we did the horns yesterday. I would suggest wraping the heck out of it in electrical tape and finding a place to screw it to so it's not bouncing around.

I'm doing my tranny fluid right now. I jacked up the front and let it drain for about 1-1/2 hours then jacked up the rear to get as much of the rest of the fluid out. Around 10:00 I'm gonna seal everything up and introduce the WRX to it's Uncle Scotty. :)

Apparently the nice people at Automotive Procare had the impact set on "kill" when they changed the fluid last time. I had to get the breaker bar and a piece of pipe to get the fricker to break free...then it just spun off my hand.

As easy as this has been for the first time doing any kind of fluid change on my own...yeah I'm a newb....I'm going to go out this afternoon and get the appropriate supplies to change the oil on the Suby and the Jeep.

Anyway.....good times yesterday.....we need to do it more often.

What would people think of a breakfast run some Sunday morning? Go drive around the countryside for an hour or two and then chow at a local fine breakfast facility....we like Canadian Honker? Feedback?

Tami and I were out running some errands this afternoon and decided to swing through Clements to see if they had a 08 WRX....which they do. Red exterior with grey interior. Interior looks good....not to keen on the exterior. In my opinion if you look at it from the side it looks like a 4-door Ford Aspire.

Think this guy with bulge in the hood and some slightly larger....but not wider :)....wheels/tires.

    http://www.ford-forums.com/images/97fordaspire.jpg

Get a mental image of this picture and then take a drive over there.

I sure do hope the STI looks dramatically better.

On a completely unrelated note....my Uncle Scotty completely fixed my fourth gear grinding issues. She also slides right into first from a roll...which I don't normally do.

    Steve out!

I might take you up on this. I have had orange bulbs sitting in the garage for a year to do this but I'm a huge pansy when it comes to putting expensive parts of my car in the oven.

    Pat

If I get some plugs will you help me put them in?

    Josh

Which plugs did you get and where did you get them.

    Thanks,

    Steve

I didn't get my hands very dirty on Saturday...but they sure got cold serving up those icy cold beverages from my fridge....beotch.

Still having fantasies about my nice soft hands I see....

We could probably make one day next weekend "exhaust day". I have gaskets coming from Grimmspeed to replace my leaking one and do a couple of others while I have things ripped apart.

Pretty much whenever somebody wishes to get one going, usually on a late sunday afternoon@ a local beer & food serving establishment. We have been having 1-2 a month for a few months now maybe we can get more.

On a side note I ordered the UFC fights tonight @ 9 and will have some people over for those, gimmie a call if any of you are interested in coming. C: 507-273-0305
