my front o2 has been dead for months, got the resistor mod but i still get a P0031 code, the knock... well, theres a 93oct station around here. you could try that. :dunno:

I finally got my accessport yesterday! Aric installed a map on my car. I watched and read the directions! My car still seems to be doing the shifting things. And I'm still unable to drive it! But I think he was going to mess around with it some more tonight to see what he can do. If everybody could keep their fingers crossed for my car that would be great! I'm getting really tired of just looking at it and not being able to drive it!

Here's my problem....
My car doesn't seem to want to shift into overdrive and then it doesn't want to downshift. I took it to a couple of places here in Rochester. Even the Subaru dealership (Clements). Clements didn't have an answer for me other than it is my "aftermarket intake" and wireing" and that I should just drive a stock car. They also told me that I don not have any tranny issues. That's what their scanner thingy said.
I bought the car with an injen cold air intake. And then Aric and I installed a front mount intercooler. However, after I left clements I bought an aps cold air intake that is designed to go with my frount mount. We switched that out and while doing so we notice that the MAF sensor wireing had some frays and such.
The car will not go into overdrive and when driving around 45mph it will not shift correctly. Sometimes it goes to 6xrpms before downshifting at 45mph. It also idels so low at times that it seems like it is going to die. I did find that the new intake has helped with some of the issues and the accessport seemed to help smooth out the problem as well. I've taken it to get the tranny flushed already as well.
Then the place that changed my oil and flushed my tranny did something as well. Because when I limped the car home a month ago from getting that done I parked the car in the road and over a course of three days all the oil they put in my car drainned out of it! Aric even checked the oil pan bolt and that was tight. So that made me even more pissed.
Today I'm going to take it to AllStar auto and have him pro tune it and then if that doesn't fix the problem I'm hopen he can figure it out. All this happened at the very beginning of July so you can see why I'm getting impatient to drive my car! I posted a thread in the maintance/mod section a while ago and nobody seemed to have a logical explination other than what I've already done now.

Yeah, I did. I actually talked to alot of people on there who gave me alot of info. I ended up calling RallySport and talking to a service guy there.

However, Aric is a fricken wizzard who works magic! He got it all worked out tonight and smoothed out all the issues I had with the car! It runs beautifully!

He checked all the intercooler plumbing. There was a leak somewhere. So he messed around with all that and re-connected everything. Then he set it at the approperate map with the accessport. I tooked it back to where I got the oil changed and they replaced a cracked oil gasket. And I'm getting my car in on Tuesday to get it tunned. So hopefully it will be back on the road on Tuesday!!!!!

I'd like to see the head lights on your car Brad. You will need to stop over and show Aric and I. Actually, Aric would be the one who would prolly really like it. I wanna smoke my tail lights... Know how to do that?

I say just wing it with the driven around like Josh and Aric did last time when everybody else was a hand raisers! It sounded like you two had alot of fun. I think we have some walkie talkies at work. I'll try to remember to grab a couple of sets!

 

Aric an I did a nice tour of SE MN last sunday. could run the same route or a bettered version....

that car looks really familiar.... oh yea thats my car, i just got sick and tired of having it be bad a$$ so i swapped an old 2.5 back into it, repainted it wrc blue, let the clear chip off, changed the rims, let the suspension goto hell, and got rid of the sti wing.... honestly what was i thinking with a car like that, much happier now..... :biggrin:


well in all seriousness that is one sick car, and i remember seeing some of those videos on youtube but never read the build, phenomonal... ahh if only i had a good paying job....

 

oh yea and i might be down for a dq stop and maybe a cruise on sunday, i got off this weekend but dunno if i got anything going on, i'll check into it and update later on into the weekend.... oh yea finnally got a new air filter for my car seeing as mine was old and tired, and....and.... i got my borla header, exhaust sounds much much better.... cept for a few leaks in the oe cat section, which will be replaced at some point, night and day difference... loving it... hahaha
