Just in case anyone didn't notice my thread in off-topic, I totalled the forester this weekend. I'm probably within that .0001% of people who survive a wreck like I had. Damn deer.....

i know its morbid ish to ask but did you get any pics of the toasters left overs?

 

A friend took pics but I don't have them yet. I hit the first tree sideways and it tore the whole rear driver's side of the car off all the way down to the frame and then it spun me straight and I hit a second tree head on. I was avoiding a deer on a gravel road late at night. I should have hit the deer.

It makes me sad that you wrecked your forester. It was beautiful. But at least your okay and have a new job! You've had some bad luck lately but hopefully this is the last of it!

 

forgot i asked about this... i always wondered how big was considered too big for mayo. i thought the rule was just one ear per ear, never said anything about the size. i worked in surgery as a student two summers ago and started stretchin them out when i was workin. think i was up to a 00guage and no one said anything. anyhow, just curious, i had them to 1/2in, they are out and closed now...


btw, sorry to hear about ur forester.
my bro wants to sell his still i think! lol if ur lookin to get a new/used one.

I never really named it, aside from just calling it "the toaster". On and that second pic you posted, from the b-pillar back is completely missing from the car now, suspension, wheel and all.

+1 for nurses. There's an abundance of those. During the summer you should be able to find college chicks. Unfortunately, they're either at Aquire-a-virus or Westfire.

 

So they're either loose or ghetto, great. :ugh: I'm meeting a lot of people at the clinic so I'm pretty sure I will end up meeting someone eventually through networking. Anyone have any cute single intelligent FEMALE friends they want to hook me up with? :biggrin:

Dur, I know a few, but each comes with baggage/issues. Inquire at your own risk. They ain't bad lookin' either, one's a religious nut (cute though). I'm sure I could find some more if I was looking, but I've been off the market for a while...

 

I definitely don't go for the religious zealots, they usually don't like me either because I tend to mess with their heads. :laugh: We shall see, I'm not in any hurry to date again after getting out of a >2 year relationship just within the last 6 months. I don't know if I even have the time to date right now. Someone to hang out with on the weekends and have a good time with would be nice though.....

I don't really know very many girls but I just met this one girl that I work w/@ my other job. I know she's single. She seems pretty cool, I don't really know a whole lot about her though. I think maybe she is twenty? ?? But I could always bring her along to one of our get togethers.

Also, I was watching manswers w/ Aric the other night and did you know a breast implant can take a fast pitch of 75+mph w/ out bursting! That's insaine! I just brought it up because when we were watching it there was a guy that got paid 100k to put implants in on a bet from his friend. The last get together Jill pointed out a man w/ beeich tits and it made me think of that! It was sick and funny at the same time! Just thought I'd share!

so what are you doing with the car situation??? you got a line on something new? i'm just wondering cuz i if you interested i know someone thats selling a 03 bugeye right now for $11k i think.... what i know hes got is, brand new winter blizaks on the stock rims, onlly half a winter on em i believe, brand new 17" enkei's with just this summer for use, full turbo back exhaust from turbo xs....

just figured i'd throw that out there seein as the poor toaster is brokeded

 

Thanks for the support guys (and gals!). As of right now I'm able to borrow an old family friend's extra car (saturn ion redline, not too shabby but no subaru) until I get things sorted out. I'm actually looking around to see if I can find an NT 2.5L forester or 2.5 NA Baja in a manual for the time being. I'm feeling confident in subarus right now and I really want another one. I'm wanting to stay with the wagon/suv/truck line too, so I think those two choices will be my best option. I'm looking to get something that will eek out a little better gas mileage too in light of the 4+/gallon right now. Frugality is winning out.

Mine was a manual, but I'm always up to play around and help people tune their cars. I still have the tactrix cable too!

Is bullwinkle your car or another member on here? Don't spend the money on an AP, you can (with a little effort/reading) learn how to tune your car and have a better map tailored to your car for 1/10th the money instead of "off the shelf" maps. I have never trusted "OTS" maps, no two cars are ever alike.

Yeah, about that... I have a CEL again (go figure) and Autozone will not delete them it's the P0442 if i remember correctly. I have next week off so I might try to fix it/get it figured out. In the mean time, if you are willing to work on my tune I will compensate with homebrew. Give me a call.
If anyone else wants homebrew maybe I'll think of having a picinic at my place soon...

Detail shop

Anyone know of a good detailing shop in Rochtown? Trying to sell my GF's 2006 Corolla S and wanted to get it detailed before putting on the market.

And for the invitations:
