Had a great time up at the RenFest with everyone. Glad I could debut the OB, I know it has the gangsta cadillac ride suspension but I actually kinda like it for being more of a daily/non-performance oriented car. That's why I bought it, to be comfortable, carry a lot of stuff, and get good gas mileage. I would have got an Impreza if I was looking for a more sporty car, or another FXT. Mostly I'm just tired of losing my a** on mods when I go to sell a car (or in this last case total it out) so it's going to stay stock aside from maybe tint.

Anyone up for hanging out this weekend at my place? I'll be out of town most of next week and the weekend too.

There was a REALLY nasty crash on HWY 52 just north of broadway that must have happened maybe 30 minutes ago. I just drove past it leaving the dojo (later than usual I might add....) and the wreckage was very very bad. It made MY wreck look like a fender bender, looks like a couple of pickups hit head-on or something by the looks of the cars. One truck had the whole front clip torn completely off and the other had the bumper pushed practically into the firewall with lots of other damage to the vehicles. Possible drunk going the wrong way on the highway? MAN am I glad class went late tonight or I might have been witness/part of that. It was right where the concrete divider starts between the N and S bound lanes on 52 just north of south broadway. I think every cop in rochester was there......

Lynn has a dog show in town this weekend - so if I can get out of the house I'm up for something.

 

This is a no. I work a double shift at the hotel today so no go for me. And Readymix and Aegis will be in town to hang out I believe so that would be what Aric is up to. I'm hopen to get out of work early like 6pmish to hang out with them. If something goes on we'll give you a call.

I believe it's at the fairgrounds in one of the pavilions. Lynn shows at around 9am both saturday and sunday I think.

I'd like to see about going up to the cities with you josh, otherwise we could find something to do around here (Bink's, O'neil's)

 

Hey guys, I wanted to start putting up some ideas in here about organizing a SEMN cruise kind of like the Duluth guys have. Here's my thoughts:
We'll have someone in the cities organize up like we do with the Duluth cruise and have them come down Rochester way.
I'm thinking we should meet up with them a little bit north to catch Highway 60 in Zumbrota and lead them through the valleys to Wabasha. After that, I'm thinking we head back on 61 to follow the river, and come back to Roch through Whitewater by following 248 to 74 to 42.
Once back in Rochester, we can stop at Century High School or RCTC to gather back up and organize the "after cruise" festivities. Depending on what the weather looks like, we can offer to take a group on more cruising or take people bowling, dinner, drinks, to a park, etc.
Also, we will need lunch, dinner, and fuel breaks in between.
What do you guys think?

excellent idea lee. I say the next time we do a get together we should try and nail down some of the specifics.

We need to find some driving routes that provide a mixture of twistys and paceable roads. So if anyone would like to scout some roads, or know of any that would be a good timelets us know. Maybe we could do so this sunday. Have our own lil roch cruise to find some nice routes. Also Lee and i were talking a lil bit last night and thought of some good ideas. So if anyone has any input on what we can do it would be greatly appreciated.

Also please leave some input as to what weekend this could be done. I would like to have the entire rochester crew on hand if at all possible. (ya know, to represent)

 

Sunday... we should meet. Talk things over and go for a drive. Newts?

outta town this weekend, but i think i open most of the week so some night for a meet might work for me.... i know of one road with some bad a$$ curves but other then that i dunno whats around the area....

 

So, about this group get together to plan a fun day in Rochester. I say we meet up thursday night and discuss options.

Also, next week Monday Whistle Bink's North starts Oktoberfest specials (i.e. German food and beer), the week after WB's on the Lake has Oktoberfest specials.

 

I know Lee works til 5 and I have been getting back in town around 6 but could prolly make it earlier. Hows about 7? Also need to figure out a where. Coffee? Food? Beer?

 

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help make this happen. Beth and I had a great time hanging out with you the day we got our tats.

If we can not get a big group to come down before the nice days run out, I know beth and I would come hang with you guys for a day. I am sure we could even convince the bielknutz to join.

 

Lynn has me helping her getting the dogs out in the field (birds) some place south of Dodge Center. So I would imagine we get done at sunset (7:30) leave at 8 and back at bedtime for Pat. So, unless I get a nap in beforehand, I'm out.

 

well as far as meeting up tomorrow night i'm a no go... i'm a sub on my buddies pool league and i gotta shoot at 7 tomorrow night.... so if you do meet someone let me know any details that are hammered out... other then that i do have off all day tomorrow and i'm thinkin bout taking a cruise south and a lil east of roch to scout a road or 2 that i'm thinking would be a blast for a drive if we get something set up and if people are up for it, so if anyone wants to ride along with me or drive them for yourself lemme know, most of you got my number if not just shoot me a msg here and i'll get ahold of you tonight or tomorrow.... i'm thinking bout leaving round 12 or 1

OK guys (and gals) I just got back from 5 solid days of working out with the president of my karate/kobudo style down in Nebraska. He had come over from Okinawa for a week of seminars. It was a blast and I even tested while I was down there and got my brown belt in Karate along with some compliments from the president, very flattering. Anything going on in the near future? I'm back in town now indefinitely, would be fun to catch up with some of the Rochester crew again.

well i'm bored at the moment, so i figured i'd throw up 2 cool points of my day today.... first one angie got almost all of her tattoo on her shoulder finished which looks hella coooool......... and the second my pile of a district manager finally gave me the promotion, so you fools are now going to be dealing with the official store manager of advance auto .....

 

Congratulations and celebrations are in order i think.

ALL = Oktoberfest at Whistle Bink's north this week, south next week (according to the website, but I thought it was opposite). I'm sure Lynn and I will try to hit up the Saurbraten or Rouladen or Schnitzel.
