I am planning on going to the Octoberfest at the Peace Plaza at 5pm. They usually run out of stuff by 8:30ish. The party train then will head to Binks North for some German food/beer. Who else joins this sinful mission?

I was at Whistle Binkies south last week and the menu said Oktoberfest specials at SOUTH(BY THE LAKE) for the week of Sept. 22 - Sept 28.

maybe someone should call ahead and find out for sure...

 

Sheen will be in Roch, also. I'm just sayin.

Hey fellow Rochester Subaru people. I have not posted here in a long time and unfortunately have not really kept up on what has been going on. I wanted to post to see if anyone had any interest in a track day. I just registered for the October 18th HPDE with Find the Line down at MAM. More info can be found here:

This group conducts laid back very safe well organized events. There are usually 3 run groups split by the speed of the car and the speed and ability of the driver. There are multiple cars on track, but they are spaced out and passing is controlled on straight only. MAM is a very safe track with lots of run out everywhere and little chance for serious incidents. I have had some days with FTL with over 80 laps (over 160 miles). Anyway, if anyone wants more information or wants to go, let me know.

Sorry I couldn't make it to Binks tonight, I went to the renfest again and didn't get home till around 7pm and still had to eat dinner/etc. Maybe meet up next weekend sometime?

Just saw a Ford GT (not the mustang, the $$$$ sports car) driving down 55th street at the light on 18th Ave. Pretty cool, haven't seen one of those on the roads in a while. Wonder who owns it in town? I had MN plates, not dealer tags.

They had one at the dealer a year or 2 ago - white with blue stripes. I heard that one was just a display model, not for sale. Every once in a while your liable to see a nice Porsche, Lambo, Ferrari, or Merc around town.

I touched that car when it was received at the Ford dealership.
It had grease all over the paint from the struts that hold the trailer hatch open. They were leaking everywhere.

It was also covered in barely any protective plastics and was scruffed up to hell.

Ford may call it a "Ferrari Killer", but they still treat it like a Focus.
Also, the damn thing has dash parts out of a Taurus.
But, it'll go like hell.

 

Maybe after football today. I'd feel more comfortable if the roads were drier. I also need permission from Lynn - man I'm whipped...
