Well, I'm convinced I have fuel leakage as described in the TSB. I was wondering if any of you have fixed this problem on your cars. ??? I'm going to look at it this weekend if it warms up a bit to see if I can access and tighten the hose clamps on the fuel lines. If it's looks to be too much work, I think I'm just going to replace my accessory belts and find out where this whining noise is coming from and leave the intake manifold removal for another day. I'll see about getting a gimmick inlet then too. I might just buy some new hoses if I have to remove the manifold as well. Any helps would be appreciated (homebrew beer for busted knuckles)!
Pat, I might be interested in helping out, just let me know when you're thinking of doing it and I'll try to squeeze in some time. Is anyone going to Firestone tonight? If so, would you be willing to complete a transaction for me?
i could maybe do something to possibly help you with your potential transaction there lee, maybe. or you could come with!
I know Lynn is gone on Sunday, but if nothing's happening tomorrow, I'll at least change my belts and look things over. I have this suspicion I'll be taking the manifold off - in which case I'll probably work on it during the week next week (weather should be nicer/warmer). I'll have to determine if or what parts I need to order and get those in too. begian triple honey, dopplebock or homemade root beer?
also, if its not completely freezing I could offer what little help I can Pat. i had that problem the first winter I had my car, but it was warrantied so I let Clements have at it.
Well, I decided to forgo removing the intake until I round up some other parts - turbo inlet, gaskets, maybe tgv deletes, phenolic spacers and intercooler hoses. I can't find any strong evidence of leaking fuel, so I'll assume for now that since it's warmer out, I'll be ok until spring or so when I want to replace everything. Might also look into that gms radiator, ported exhaust manifolds, diamond stamped floorboards... wish list keeps getting longer Meanwhile, I replaced my accessory belts and discovered the source of my engine whine is the ac idler pulley. The bearing is going out. So I lubed it up and put it back in. If anyone knows of an idler pulley laying around, I need it.
Any roch folk order a hoodie this go-around? I ordered one and was curious as to pick up arrangements and what not.
yeah, I ordered one. I don't know if he'll ship them or if we need to send someone (Josh/Aric) up there to get them for us.
Yeah, we ordered hoodies also. We will be making the trip up there one of these fridays. When we go we'll let you guys know so we can pick up the Rochester crews.
You could have them shipped I thinks but I will be going up next friday (the 30th) to get mine. You're welcome to come along or just give me the money to pick it up for you.
Trust Josh with money!? He'll just blow it on honda parts. Next time I see you, I'll give you cash - maybe we should meet up this weekend?
I'm going to try to get up to Ryan's "Learn to Homebrew" event to hang out on Saturday. I'll also hit up Midwest Supplies if Steve wants to come along, or anyone else.
Pat, I don't know if I can go this weekend. Plus, I need to stop spending money and go back to socking it away for my house downpayment. I decided to treat myself to a couple goodies last month and I don't want to keep doing that repeatedly until I am in a house, plus I don't know that I have the room to setup a full Kegerator/freezer in my apartment just yet haha. I still have to hear back from a local I know who has 40# CO2 tanks that he might be willing to sell me, which would make me buy a kit w/o the co2 bottle. Once I get that local "Timberworts" membership it will get me 10% off at Midwest too, so I'm hoping to cash that in on a kegging setup. -Steve
LEE! I swear to god! If you think you are getting that wagon you have another thing coming! (I know where you live!) :hsugh: I already have a pick up day set and Curlys $$ on the way! The wagon has already been put on my insurance and everything! So there!:wiggle:!nanananaaaanaaaa!! You can come and admire it at my house on Monday!! Maybe even Sunday for that matter!!:biggrin: ....For anybody else reading this. I'm half joken around. But if this was taken from me... You would see miss nice Nickole turn very very mad!!!
hey lee, you coming over tomorrow or not? If so you and Nickole can be the prefight. I'll have money on her.
  I want to go but I have to work... Remember last saturday I thought I was coming over. I had gotten the dates confused!! If I was going...Lee wouldn't stand a chance!! He's not so big!!
:emo: when do you have to work? remember fights are from 6-12 and who knows what could happen before or after.
I work from 6am-8pm!!! Sooo, maybe after work I will stop by. Since Lee has a death wish, I'll make sure to wear really pointy heals so I can stab him in the heart after I stomp on his throat.
You'll be hearing from my lawyer. Josh, I'll definitely be at the fights, though you may not see me coming in my camoflauged car.
Just to let you guys know, I started collecting up the equipment to make a kegerator out of a chest freezer.... Got the freezer and the 40# bottle for CO2 to push the home brew out of the (soon to be acquired) 5 gallon kegs. Muahahahaha..... -Steve
By the way... Are you just heading up to firestone on friday josh? or is there something else going on that brings you north? Im contemplating tagging along, as I need to get my windows tinted, probably on friday, in the cities.
Im planning on tagging along then, I'd like to check firestone out, but nothing is set in concrete yet!
