    Poker Night

I am hosting Poker Night on Friday night starting at 9pm. It's a byob/snacks affair. Feel free to join us! If we end up staying late, then we could watch the MMA Sengoku card from Japan.

Let me know if you're coming!

Why does Rochester lack decent Restaurants? Where is Whiskey Creek coming up?

Rochester has a handful of decent restaurants, but they're usually somewhat hidden.
Check out Chester's in the Peace Plaza or Prescott's if you want something swanky.
Newt's downtown or City Cafe are also excellent as well.
Whistlebinkie's is also a staple as we've established. Twig's is also supposed to be outstanding, though I've never had the pleasure.

I'm a big fan of Roscoe's bbq, Newts, O'neills Pizza, Binkies North or South, and if I feel like spending money, Micheal's or Victoria's.

We have a lot of restaurants, but they're always packed! it's hard to find a place especially on the weekend that doesn't have a long wait.

nobody mentioned Hohut? I've never eaten there, but everyone else here does.

I saw an 08/09 STi downtown last Thursday or Friday. don't remember if the plates were MN or if it was a local car (Mayo parking tags) - also looked pretty nice and made me want one too...

Yes we have a few decent places to eat but not much variety when compared with towns our size or smaller. No brew pubs or micro breweries which SUCKS.

Also, it seems we get the worst of the franchises. Like HuHOT... Mongos is 10 times better. If you've never had it, then you'd think HuHot is great.

I can't believe the selection in St. Cloud when compared to Rochester. Pathetic actually. Hopefully Whiskey Creek will be decent. I eat out like once a week and it would be nice to have more places that are decent than my 10 fingers. That is my rant for today :)

Sure it wasn't me? My car seems to be mistaken for silver quite a bit at night, and I was out on thurs/fri..with mayo tags. Just a wrx hatch though.

bob - thanks for keeping the eyes open, but i have got it narrowed down to a forester xt... now if i can only narrow it down to a year :???:

jack - you gotta think... of course st. cloud is going to have more choices for resteraunts, its a college town... its just like the LAX, when i worked there you could eat something different every meal and every day of the week and never have the same thing.... there are good places like lee and pat mentioned but they are limited unfortunately

Can you guys please keep your eyes open for a 02 wrx front bumper for me.

If you know anybody or stumble across one please let me know! I would really like to get the cracked one replaced asap!

Keep in mind that I am not going to break the bank for a bumper... Curly is actually the one who will be paying for it per our agreement that he would fix it! So lets try to keep the price reasonable since it will most likely need to be paint matched. Thanks!

yes, also my balls will be waiting for you and everyone else on the 18th....

    Official announcement!
UFC 97 at my house Saturday 4-18. Same deal as usual, bring drinks, snacks and anal lube. I will make the meatballs again and if anyone wants to bring something by all means feel free. Last time we almost packed the livingroom but i think we can fit a few more! Also the new tv mount offers a much better view.

    event details are here

    From UFC.com:
UFC middleweight champion Anderson “The Spider” Silva returns to the Octagon on Saturday, April 18th to defend his crown against number one contender Thales Leites in the main event of UFC 97. The pound for pound king has already defended his title more times than anyone in UFC middleweight history and will battle Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Leites - winner of five in a row.

Also featured in the UFC's return to Canada is the light heavyweight showdown fans have waited for years to see, as UFC legend Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell squares off against Brazilian superstar Mauricio "Shogun" Rua in what promises to be one of the most explosive bouts of 2009.

UFC 97: Redemption - Saturday, April 18, live on Pay-Per-View from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.

    josh's ftw

and to those that haven't heard me and angie purchased a house last night!!!!!
closing date for us is may 19th... most likely the 23rd and 24th we'll be moving, if anyone is bored and wants to help we could use the help... my brother and sister in law i'm sure will be down with their 5th wheel trailer, so it'll most likely be a 1 trip move, plus its only like 10 block s from where we live now... so easy move.... but yea, and then once we're moved and settled in of course house warming shenanaigans will follow

I'm down to help with the move Jason/Angie as long as I'm not stuck working.

SEMN cruise... I was just thinking of that too.. I'm in.
Also, I can offer hotel rooms at a reasonable rate...And the hotel I'm at now is actually something you might want to stay at! :) We have a pool! My only request is if you stay here... Behave yourself so I don't lose my job!

    Congrats!

I'll help you move on the 19th if you help me move on the weekend of April 24th. I close that day on the place I bought, so we will have to pack the driveway/garage/neighborhood with a ton of loud obnoxious subaru's! Hi neighbors!
