I would just like to tell anyone in Rochester to NOT go to Cycle City if you are intending on purchasing anything motorcycle related. This is just a little mini rant, but as some of you know I JUST got my endorsement a couple weeks ago and am in the process of getting a small bike to begin riding. As such I do not currently have any protective gear of my own yet. I decided to try to go to Cycle City and check out what they had as they are right down the street.

Long story short I walked in the door just barely after 5pm, spent a literal HOUR in the store until just before 6pm and was never ONCE talked to by anyone. Period. I had to just about stalk one of the sales guys hanging out doing nothing behind the counter to ask if they had any other sizes in the two helmets I was looking at, which they ended up not having in stock. This was after about 20 minutes in the store OBVIOUSLY looking at helmets right in front of the two guys working in the gear area. I then spent the next 30 minutes trying on jackets and was (yet again) never even acknowledged to be in the store. I then tried on gloves for about another 10 minutes and still wasn't even looked at. Needless to say, I left and they will not be getting any of my money. I was even hoping to spend some money locally anyways and not buy it online since I could try it on there.

steve that sucks.... sorry to hear bout that unfortunate experience.... but screw em, if they don't want to get off their ass to help, they don't need your money....
if you want a helmet and it fits, i have a suomy gunwind helmet that was worn one time for about 30 miles of riding, that i'll sell ya.... lemme know, its yellow too

Pat, thanks for the link, I checked out their pricing on the jacket/helmet I'm considering and they have VERY good prices. 260 for the jacket vs. 380 in a store/MSRP FWIW. Definitely going to buy from them once I finalize what I want/sizing.

I went to cycle city to find what size, then bought online. I went with medium and it's a pretty snug fit. Almost think I should have gone large, but i didn't want it to be loose either.

Well, since nobody replied, I'm heading up to Firestone and MAP on Friday if anyone wants to tag along. I don't plan on hanging around much longer than it takes to get my parts.

 

What is everybody up to on the 4th of July?

I think one of these days we all need to get togher and nail down some plans for the SEMN Cruise. This will approach faster then you think.

And lastly, we got our invitations to your wedding Pat. Who else from here is going and where do you guys plan on staying?

2. Plans are to be posted by end of the month so if you have anything you would like to contribute this weekend is a good time

1. On 3rd we're going to the honker's game on the deck. Everyone here is welcomed to join. It is all you can eat/drink for 20 some bucks. Its always a blast! No plans on 4th yet.

4. Mir vs Lesnar July 11th. I am hosting the fights. As always everyone here is invited.

 

Finally, Aric and I have decided on a day to tie the knot.

Our reception will be Friday September 4, 2009. (SEMN Cruise weekend)

Plans are still underway but you are welcome to join us at the reception afterwards. Formal invites will be sent out eventually!

If this is something you would like to attend please send me a pm so that I can put you on our guest list. Please include the number of people and your address so that we can send you an invite.

This will be a small party with our close family and friends.
Guests will be asked to pay for their own dinner and drinks.

The Reception is at 5pm-close at Whistle Binkies on the Lake.
We reserved the tent area for the Reception.

It's just a casual sorta dinner. You order whatever the heck you want to pay for!
We are hoping to do drink tickets or a keg for our guests.

You'll all get to see Aric in a tux!

If you are thinking of coming let me know. This way I can keep a tally of how many people we are expecting and what size of cake we will end up getting!

I passed my motorcycle rider's exam... otherwise nothing happening.
