I know some of you come up to us on occasion (like SomethingsWrong for the BBQ, and Lee sold me his boost gauge at Firestone a few weeks back). I'd like to get to know some "out-state" members, especially if I'm voted in for Member at Large.

Still planning on coming down for the SEMN cruise in Septmber!

I need HELP!
experienced a knock around 6-7k rpm the other day while in second gear and got a CEL and fuel cut. I can't read the CEL because it only occurred when I hit the fuel cut - now I'm in limp mode and can't get past 4k rpm.

blackozone or sjwelna would either of you be able to help me out? I am planning on heading up to Firestone to sell some parts on Friday and may stop by RS to see about a tune or if they can help me.

any ideas anyone!?

I'll try to clear your ECU as well. We might need to go read the codes first, though.

Anyone know how to jimmy a car lock... my brother locked his keys in his SRT and its sitting in the middle of my drive way.

 

Nm... finally got it.

 

Drove to Firestone tonight. My car is very very sick! sick as in ill as in not good. took me most of a tank of gas to go up there and back. lost cruise control, and speedometer spazes out randomly.

I suspect there may be an electrical problem, so I'm going to check for shorts tomorrow then, Lee, we need to do some logs. I'll also get an old priest and a young priest.

Anyone else have any ideas of what could be going on???

 

Did you lose cruise control? or was it lost when your check engine light came on?

I know on the newer cars, the cruise function wont work if you're throwing a code.

 

I was just passed Cannon Falls, I had to stop and get something to eat. It was working for a couple miles past, then the cruise light went off and wouldn't come back on.

 

You will lose the cruise control ability if you have a CEL on. Is the cruise light flashing? Sounds like the car went into limp mode, are you still only getting about 7 psi of boost? Did you get the codes cleared the other night? If you want me to take a peak at it I'll be around today and tomorrow.
