RS Hood Scoop Blues...

    Well my OEM hood scoop it starting to lose paint. So now what to do?

    1. Repaint it?

    2. Buy a Reverse Scoop?

    get something lighter...assuming you have the stock RS hood. or just repaint it

    Wait, does it not have a TMIC? Then why would you have the hood scoop? It could be causing less air to flow over your radiator by having that hole in your hood. Unless you like sacrificing performance for looks, then by all means keep it on in any manner you wish. Isn't the current fashion to wear your lid sideways?

    definitely reverse scoop. I was talking to the pidd earlier this week, and he was saying the one he put on his car (like readymix's, in front of the stock scoop location) dramatically increased airflow through the IC/radiator. so much so that he saw like a 40* drop in summer IATs!


    I'd go with the second option, as long as it was painted to match the rest of the hood. the 1st is too fancy, and the third just looks like you did some drugs and turned the stock scoop around :run:.
