speaking of which you won SI. And despite driving like crap the entire time I managed to get at least one good clean run. They sent me the results a few mins ago.
Just lucky I stopped by RS a couple days before dyno day and Ron told me about you guys, was nice to meet everyone! Tom, I definatelly wan't you to road tune mine, of course the sooner the better! but whatever works best for you just let me know and we'll go from there. So I have no dyno sheet so I'll get off this thread!
dang forgot to ask, did the auto Saab run? if so what were the numbers?(sorry, not the best with names the first time around!):eek4:
211hp/227tq for the manual Saabaru(mine) and 184hp/193tq for the auto Saabaru. My tune is still a work in progress. I apologize for "cutting in" on the dyno if anyone was upset or confused. There were about 6 of us that were there early and established an informal order, I was third. I just assumed the order was still standing and jumped on the dyno third. I didn't find out until after the run that there was a sheet that started after the informal order was created.
Nice, on one of your last 2 runs right? I would have been too spooked to even continue if it had happened to me. I guess si was slow yesterday, I'm prett sure my cleanest run was 2 cones lol. This ptfb thing is a lot harder to drive than I expected. Btw Ill probably be bugging you with classing questions now.
your car is SM, however you can run it in ESP. Although its technically not legal for ESP (bigger turbo) it would be up to someone else int eh class to protest it. I'm the only other person who runs the class regularly and I wont protest it. I think it should be legal under SP update/backdate rules anyways, but through a small technicality I don't think it is. I believe in order to update/backdate parts between models it has to be in the same SP class and the STi is BSP and not ESP, but I'd allow it.
It was fun meeting you guys. Thanks for the acceptance of the black sheep Saabarus. I’d love to do this again in a few months after we have a chance to work out some of the kinks in the tunes. Overall, I’m happy with the 184hp/193tq showing for my auto. Makes for a fun daily driver, and makes the car much much more driveable. Also, as everyone else, I’m real impressed with Wall of Tv’s numbers on the corn booze. Very nice work.
Anyone who doesn't accept the saabaru isn't a true car enthusiast. Saabarus ROCK. Maybe at the next dyno day I can convince Bikerwriter to head over this way to add to the saabaru goodness.
