Here's a couple more I took today after cleaning it up yesterday... iPhone/GoPro. I'm sure I'll post some more later
Nice! You need to bring the hatch to the LaXCruise and park it next to Doogan's PBP Sedan in June. Lookin good all clean with the clouds reflecting on it!
well yeah! be way better than just the plain ol wrx, or wrx sti might be nice would get more traffic.
Might just have to drop the Subaru reference all together! I have a feeling the Ruckus will drain ze wallet shortly.
Ordered a Password:JDM lowered seat frame, PW:JDM frame extension kit, and a NCY gas tank cover for the Ruckus! Waiting for my boost gauge to come in for the STi, and the rubber cargo mat for the hatch so I can throw my bike in there.
SPT boost gauge in the OEM location this time: SPT turbo heat shield: And the Subaru rubber cargo mat, so my bike doesn't get stuff as dirty:
Had clear bra applied on Saturday at Flawless Front Ends... also asked for some light-smoked overlays on my tails. The back end looks much, much better now!
I would like to do all red, no cut out. But just haven't been able to make to 2hr trip to flawless. :-(
I think the amount of tail tinting really needs to be seen in person (instead of a low-light iPhoner pic). It isn't overdone/too dark at all, and you can still see through to the tail light design very easily. That said, I could not decide between smoke or red with cutout until right before he applied it. Plus, it is his an overlay so I can always change it up! The cost of the clear bra really depends on how far you take it. You can do some minimal essential, go all out, and everything between. Your best bet is to contact him, run some ideas, and see what he estimates it to be. All I can say is that for what I had done, the price was very reasonable. On mine he did the following: Front bumper, part of the grill, headlights, part of the hood (up to where the hood scoop ends - closer to the windshield part - so like half the hood), front fenders to match the cutoff of the hood, hood scoop, A-pillars, first 6 inches or so of the roof, and replaced the OEM part that comes near the rear doors with a bigger piece (that also is not as noticeable as the OEM piece).
Picked this up today. Familiar RSVX to some people I'm sure! I am currently undecided as to what I am going to do with it.
I love the look of the new exhaust! Especially that low angle.. Big ups for the new car and new rolling pics!
Text message I just got from my girlfriend: "I like being able to hear your car come and go. Guess that means I like the exhaust" Yeahhhh!
That was basically what I told My family when I put my Invidia on, they should buy it for me to "keep tabs" on me.. Needless to say it didn't fly
Installed some KW V3's last night on my '11 STi with help from a friend. Still not 100% sure I am happy with the ride height, I think the front needs to be a little lower to match the rear (or the rear needs to come up). Does anyone know how low you can potentially go in the front without rubbing with OEM BBS wheels? I don't need it slammed at all. Initially we had it a bit lower all around, but I didn't want to risk having to redo everything because of a little rub, so we put it up a bit.
Looks good with the V3's! And it already looks pretty low... I was concerned about rubbing when I bought new tires because I didn't want to roll my fenders. Low and behold, they rubbed and I ended up rolling my rear fenders anyway. It wasn't nearly as bad/hard as I thought, and as long as you are careful and take your time, you shouldn't have any paint cracking issues. Plus, Jeff the Alignment Guy rents the tool and heat gun very reasonably
Was able to drive it from Milwaukee back to Eau Claire today (roughly 220 miles), so that's always a good thing (I'm sure flat-bedding it would be like $500+).
There needs to be more gap between the edge of the hood and the grill corners. Normally there is a pretty decent gap between those parts, and now it almost touches.
