Should I buy this Y-pipe?

I have been looking around and think I will buy this one, will this work on the sti intercooler? They also have the perrin one and on that page it says that it will work for the sti intercooler on the wrx. Just did the guy I talked with didn't seem to know to much about it.

 

He told me they can order it if I pay for it first.

 

Well...that doesn't help out very much. Have you tried searching around on Nasioc? The answers gotta be there somewhere.

 

I have looked but haven't found to much about fittment.

There are plenty of people on here that have an STi intercooler on a td04, pm Driftin240 and ask him what he did.

 

^matter of fact there are plenty of posts and thread on this issue... I suppose the search button is broken again tho... but in case it does work, search esperunit's posts as he's explained it a few times.

After looking around at some earlier post it looks as all I really need is the longer 90 degree elbow, does anybody have one laying around or know where to get one? Also the longer IC to TB hose too?

Not to sound like a ****, but I think it's pretty obvious that you need to stop impulse buying everything and do some research on what you want to buy and what will work with your car before buying something.

 

It's like deju vu all over again...

Why are you frantic about this, is your stock one broke? Do you have the other bits to make this really benefit you - STI bellows, splitter and scoop? Slow down, look at the links and get the necessary parts. I don't think you can go wrong with that Samco hose kit if you have taken the intercooler off more than twice.

I think the big difference in the Perrin vs Samco is 5 ply vs 3 ply (and cost). Here is another link to read:

I'm just frantic cuz I want to have all I need to put it on when it comes. Just trying to be ready. No mines not broke, and yeah I have all the other sti stuff, scoop, splitter and the bellows.

Well I decided agianst the the Y pipe. I ordered a longer 90 degree elbow and IC to TB coupler. So I am all set to install when they show up.
