I have an 04 sti and when I bought the car it supposedly it had been open source tuned. I have recently changed the catback to another style with the same size pipe. Also i have added an cobb intake and have a silicone turbo inlet that i want to put on. My question is should i get a the car retuned after adding those 3 parts or can i install the silicone inlet and run the car the way it is without a retune?

After adding the intake yes get a retune or at least a log done to make sure the new intake hasent leaned the car out more then the intake that is currently installed.

It wouldnt hurt, you'll likely end up with a few more ponies if tuned for the intake.

From just changing my dp I was encouraged to get a retune.

ya im been tossing around the idea of getting a retune but was not sure if it made that much of a difference on the sti. But i figured with increased flow from the intake and the turbo inlet it would throw things off, so i just wanted to get some opinions. Thanks guys

Better intake/exhaust flow = faster spool = more air = lean = bad

Granted, the mods your talking about would be a pretty small change.....but cost of tune < new motor

I'd get a retune for the intake. If it was just the exhaust change then I'd say no.

Shouldn't take that long at all. Mostly scaling for the intake change and verify and touch up full throttle.

Just dont BASS it too hard, or until you figure out the tune.

If you changed the intake, yes, get a tune.
