    is it the stocker??

if so... I hope you arent putting a larger turbo on there without changing that!!!

looks like the flex/cat is coming apart, but it is a little hard to tell with that pic

The flex is completely balled up in there and there's about 1/2" of actual opening, between the wadded up material.

This is a Megan catless uppipe that is less than a year old.

And that is the reason I will never run a flex uppipe. All it takes is a extra 5 minutes and you can get a solid pipe in and it won't leak.

I disagree, I have a helix uppipe and the inner "flex" section isn't covered by that wire mesh stuff the outside is. Its just like an accordian shaped metal and has nothing that'll come loose. Heck the stocker is a flex design under all that heat sheilding and so is the grimspeed unit.

So far. We will see what it looks like in another 5 years. Again, I will spend the extra 5 minutes and install a solid pipe. Then I KNOW nothing will ever come apart on the inside.

I've had flex pipe areas break on me. It's thinner metal than the uppipe itself. I took the flex out of my aftermarket uppipe and added a pipe to it and no more worries about it breaking. The headers however shift and changes shape. I have to enlarge the holes on the flanges so I won't have stress points at the collector.

The grimmspeed uppipe had a flex pipe outside and an accordian shaped inside at the flex section. Lot nicer product. Now if I could figure out why the car idles rough I'd be in business.

Yeah I've installed a few of the GS up-pipes and they are good quality for what I can tell.

good luck with the idle issue.
