Me too, didn't work for me tho a few years back when we had a 1/2" of fresh snow and i decided to go the same route.
What we need is hydralics, so when the curb comes we can bounce over it. But yeah, summers on snow is worse than my ranger with 1 wheel drive.
I know I know I know... I'm just hoping for the best possible conditions. I really should just swap them again. It doesn't take long, and better safe than sorry. I already spent too much replacing and painting my bumper cover this year. ...and you'll probably be fine, but man, I'd hate to be wrong. Besides, if we actually do get 5", I'm going driving!
Yup yup. The wife just told me she can drop me off at work Monday morning if there's still snow on the road though... They're staying on.
Alright, @tangledupinblu, you win. Winters are back on. I'd hate to report back and tell you how I borked up my car. Besides, 5-8" tomorrow!
I'd hate to see you on here with a WTB thread looking for replacement rims or bumpers/sideskirts/body panels Monday!
I swapped back to winters this weekend after holding out to see warm weather again. Glad I did with the snow and the cold.
Put my snows back on Saturday, also glad I did after having to drive last night. Might switch back this weekend since it only takes a half hour.
I just put mine on the car on Tuesday. Got the wife's on her Prius before that snowfall we had. I will say I'm am thourghlly unimpressed with the cheap tires we threw on the crosstrek to make it home from Montana this summer with snow/slush on the road. I know the tires were cheap and weren't gonna be great. But the sure did suck over my old set of all seasons.
