Good one! Justin is a great guy and is VERY knowledgeable when it comes to tires. You won't regret getting a dedicated winter and a dedicated summer tire setup. A good performance winter tire is unbelievable, and you will notice a difference with a good summer tire. Wear vs. cost is about the same, you put half the miles on each set and they last a bit longer.
I got steelies from Discount Tire at 70$ a pop (you could find used probably even cheaper) and winter tires. The investment is worth it and as long as you buy either the wheels or tires from them they swap your setup when the season changes for free including balancing and TPMS rebuild. Just my 00.02 and since I don't really rack up that much mileage on either set the tires are lasting alot longer. If you go the use winters all year round route you will be buying new ones a lot quicker, they don't disintergrate on you in the summer, you just wear the heck out of them quicker.
