Yeah, head right to the Aerial Tram and shoot for riders right on High Baldy Traverse and drop anywhere into Peruvian Gulch until it's all tracked out and then head over to Gad 2 Lift and play in Thunder Bowl till that gets tracked out. Then head over to Baby Thunder Lift and play on Thunder Alley and Tiny Tiger till your legs are dead for the day, by that time it will be 4pm or so. Then head back into SLC and stop off at Porcupine's Pub & Grill at the bottom of the canyon off of Wasatch Blvd. for some food and drink. Hot tub, sleep. Wake up and repeat till you drop.

Have fun!!! Keep an eye out for all the Subies out there. It's way rad!

yes, I know that Afton and Wild are both making snow. Wild is already open. Afton should be open on Friday, and that is more than just a bunny hill. They told me we should have the meddows open for this weekend, because we have to start teaching classes this weekend.

FL Project. Talk to Paul, tell him Derek sent you. He will hook you up. I am not saying they are free or at cost, but he will treat you well.

    http://www.theflproject.com/

[email protected] - if you want to talk to him about the brands they have.

Afton Alps will be opening one run (chair 4/Nancy's Nursery) on Thurs Dec 3 @ 4pm till 9pm, while making more snow. We are hoping to have at least one feature set up. Lift ticket rates for Thursday, $16 for all ages. See you on the slope!!!

Sick I might have to come swing out there. I ride the DC XFB board with all dc stuff (had it towards the end of last year, have pictures but am too lazy to put them up right now). Does anyone ride around here really or is it all out west? I have an old ass video up from a few years ago, some local spots, maybe you guys will recognize some?

I ride out here more than out west. I think I get 1 trip this year to Montana. other than that, lutsen, afton, buck, theo worth, hyland, spirit and wild it is for me.

I ride every week locally. I try to get out a few time during the week, but I am at Afton every sunday, and most saturdays.

I love going out west. But no trips this year

^ afton has the most runs locally and the most snowboard parks. Which isn't too bad if you live 10 minutes away. I would say season pass, then you can ride all you want. Otherwise $40 - $50 a lift ticket can get spendy.

yea, I have a few in's to get passes n stuff but its on occasion and not always consistent. I like how many runs they have and what not, its just the park grooming that bugs me. But pre-season is always SUPER fun at afton and its nice to get away from the other hills sometimes. I might stray away from a pass this year and try to use that 400 for another trip, but I'll come out a handfull of times for sure (I have a wednesday night class there from inverhills for my required gym course :))

I think my friend Kelly will be "teaching" you.

I feel you on this one. It is hard because of the thousands of people that go there every weekend. I think they should hire more park people to do the grooming or pay us (instructors) to help out with the park.

^^^ thats what my old resort does. Theres so many people riding, that the features get rutted and really bad really fast. So they paid us when we werent doing lessons to go out with shovels and rakes and repair the stuff as needed. it worked out really mint.

Yea buck hill this year is having a park crew with shovels and what not. When I went out to bear mtn in cali they had people that would go down the run with like a torch type thing and rakes and shovels and they would fill the holes, melt them to level and rake them. It was weird but it was so nice because one run would be rutted and the next would be fresh. MN doesn't realize that, and they don't realize that out there they have as many people hitting stuff too. You know what I mean if you go to a heavy park resort and try to get on the lift and the line is 45 mins long and there are people everywhere n stuff, its just as bad. Its all about the park crew for repairs imo

I want an office over there!!!

Hyland is small but has by far the best park in the midwest IMO. Runs there suck but I had a pass there last year and had so much fun. They know how to work with what they got for such a tiny place.

Park City's lift lines can get way long but Snowbird and Brighton's are quick. Avoid Park City on the weekends and you'll be fine. Hit up The Bird and Brighton on the weekends.

Big Lake is where he is from.

Chad Otterstrom = New Brighton / Mounds View. Stayed with my cousin in UMD in a house while they went to college. Picked up my buddy Aric every day for high school. They started the Spirit snowboard park and invented the rodeo flip @ spirit. rated one of the top 10 snowboarders in the world.

Sounds MINT. Too bad I will be @ a middle school play tonight :emo:. Dang little step sisters getting in the way of my snowboarding.

Tony do you want me to leave those base plates outside my house so you can use them tonight? or do you want to stop by my house and pick them up during the day? my wife is working from home today, she can always show you the two options i have.
