Curious. How does one get the tight circles with AWD? I've tried a couple times now and it's not nearly as easy as it was with the Crown Vic.

Not that I'd be doing it or anything...

A little clutch kick to start yourself off (don't need to really do it that hard in the snow) and the tail will outspin the front, then you just modulate the throttle to keep it going

Are some of these circles tight enough?….playing with the throttle mostly while counter steering.

Gracias, amigos. Might have to give it a whirl next time we get a little snow down here.

what year/model is your car? The newer one have traction control, and that is a definite fun-stopper in "open" areas. Oh, and please don't dump the clutch, nor crank the steering wheel to full lock and hold it there, nor use your handbrake when moving.

'03 WRX wagon. Assuming no traction control as I've had several a fun 4-wheel drift going with it. Looks like I'll probably be waiting until next season to work on my tight circle techniques now.

You have traction control, it's located at the end of your right leg
