I want the best bang for my buck and I want them to match.

    Fill in the blank

    Maddad? -

    Prosport? -

    Greddy? -

Warning gauges do you need them? -

Any that I missed other than Defi (I'm not made of money) -

Just picked up the ProSport in bluuu.

Haven't got them in yet...but the price was hard to beat! Picked them up(in stock) from Chris at MAP.

defi blue racer or d-series gauges is what I have and they don't need a control box, awesome set-up, too.

Mechanical gauges are a good way to not spend a fortune. Mechanical gauges are more of a pain to install though. I learned a hard lesson about using crappy nylon line for an oil pressure gauge.

I have the Autometer Cobalt gauges in Boost (20 in Hg to 30psi), oil pressure (0-100psi) and water temp. The boost and oil pressure are full sweep. Plus they're only $60-70 a pop, as opposed to $180.

Wow, those Prosports are very reasonable. I might have to pick up an oil temp gauge.

well if it helps.. I am watching the thread too... as I have been wondering some of those questions.. a lot of it comes down to preference... etc...

I really like Autometer gauges, but they are more for old school cars... I will use them if I ever do my RX7... but for a nicer later model you cant beat the prosports on price.. but Defi and such always have nice revues.. but Trump pricing...

Yeah I see what your saying on the Automoeter, sport compacts = NO! old skool and modern muscle = yes.

All I want is a clear face gauge that has a black face and white numbers that illuminates green when you turn your lights on.

These MadDads held my interest of late. And they are supposed to be completely OEM look. Sounds like the newer gauges don't have problems like some of the older ones did. I think maybe Bullwinkle has mentioned somewhere that he has MadDad Gauges. Not sure which ones.

My Cobalts aren't old-school looking like many of the other Autometer gauges.

RallySTi has had 3 sets of MadDad clarity's now, and I wasn't very impressed at all. The Staff at Daddy's have been helpful in attempting to remedy the issue's, but they can't fix everything.

I would recommend Defi's as you get what you pay for. The racer (not only blue anymore) series are on the more affordable side, and they are accurate.

my 02. would be the defis also. a one time power hook up to the link and daisy chain every thing off of that. that makes for such a easy install and keeps things vary clean. i found defis cheap on ebay or buy used on nasioc. and i have used the warning light and the record feature vary vary useful and i wouldn't switch to any thing that didn't have it.

kelly just bought the prosport gauges. they were a pain in the ass for the directions that they come with fail to tell you things. they also use a daisy chain for power but the senders get plugged into each gauge so wires go every ware. they seem real cheap when you are installing them but look good when they are all done and put in nice.

Still easier to deal with than nylon lines and braided steel line with AN fittings. I might have to switch to these Prosports.

I have been using the Maddad V2 Rx Boost gauge for about a year and a half, and love it. Really matches the interior color nicely. $99 is a pretty good deal for an electronic gauge, but the others in the set are $139 or more.

I'm waiting for this... it should be here any day now.

Same idea but a little more stealth. Requires a monitor tho.

actually you can get a monitor for 1-200... the camp2 for 450... Thats Defi money.
Or you could get a avic-d3 for 450 online now... If you have an ipod then you have simultaneous navi/gauges/music :)
