images page? you are able to add images to your post via the attachment section on the reply page. Other than that, the only other images are your avatar.

    ex..see bottom Click Here

So is the images page going to come back, or is it gone forever? What I mean is (and I assume what mc_866 was asking about) is the page, SEPARATE from the forums, where you could upload an image which would then be hosted by mnsubaru.com, and it auto-cropped big images to 800x600 max and generated thumbnails.
    For example: this post

Also, I don't want to poo-poo people's hard work that I'm not paying for, but this really annoys me and is easy to fix:

    http://www.mnsubaruclub.com/forums/templates/phpXP2/phpXP2.css :
That little tidbit effectively makes hyperlinks INVISIBLE; the only way you'd ever know there was a hyperlink in someone's post is if you accidentally moused over it (at which point the color changes to #63B02A as defined in the "a:hover" stylesheet entry).

Suggestion: let the text-decoration default to underlined, and let the color default to the user's browser settings (or at least pick something that isn't indistinguishable from black).

Otherwise, people have to put a bunch of extra tags in their posts everytime they post a link that they want to LOOK LIKE a link.
Thanks!! Aside from that (and all the broken images ;) ), looks good!

dont worry, you are not poo pooing on anyones work...keep em coming. Links are now underlined, which agreed, makes much more sense. As for the coloring, i dont want to change that because there are tons of links on every page and it would look funny. Example, look at the forum homepage, all of those underlined words would be colord....to distracting.

How about when you edit a past post... it comes up with all the details ie etc instead of posting the owrdss bold and colored etc...

I have my post for the install day and I would like to add to it as people sign up...

    other than that.... Looks Great...

    Here is what happened:

snitz used html, phpbb2 uses bbcode like most forums. Your tags are in html which I disabled because I dont need people making tables or using include. The conversion didnt pick those tags up, it picked up a few but not all of them.. I'll look at your problem more detail when I get home.

    Not sure what you're asking...
The "broken images" I referred to are image references that used to be hosted by mnsubaru.com (the old version).

If that feature is GONE, I can go clean up all my old posts (where I'd uploaded images from meetups to the images page, then linked to those from the forum post), and just replace those by attaching the actual images.

But if the good ol' images page is going to be migrated to the new server soon, then the broken images will start working again and I won't have to bother with all the re-attaching stuff.

P.S. The default timezone in my user profile was GMT+2hr (Cairo/Jerusalem time?!?). Since most of us are from MN, GMT-6hr (Central US time) would be a better default. Dunno if that's an admin-configurable setting or hardcoded into the BB software...

The pasts posts' syntax is not the same. My only suggestion for this would be to manually change the tags. We can not turn on html because this will cause problems. Our hands are tied on this one.

Actually mnsubaru.com still points to jordans server.. until the DNS refreshes anyways. We are getting the old images and keeping the directory structure the same so they will continue to work. However, from now on we will be using the attachment feature for image hosting and posting. It's just easier for us to maintain and whatnot.

I'll have justin look at the timezone.

I do have some weird logging in issues while I am at work, but it seems to work fine at home. At work, I have to log in twice to actually see all the forums.

Oh good, I'm not the only one with the "it forgot who I am!" problem.

I also noticed that all my thread subscriptions went kerplooey during the migration, and... I see the new BB software has a "Notify me when a reply is posted" checkbox when you're adding a reply, but I don't think it works. (Not sure, and not a big deal anyway)

    |EDIT: NEVERMIND, thread subscriptions work fine once they're re-activated in the new BB.

Can we get the link that is on the top "view posts since last visit" near the bottom maybe under the people who are logged on like the old site use to have?

I dig the new format after playing with it for a while. The forums that is.

    256K Attachbox?

    Request:
Would it be possible to increase the Attachbox size?
It appears to be limited to 256K, since I've got one teeny little 250x120 JPEG image in my Inbox, and my attachbox is 25% full already

    C'mon, even a double-density 5.25" floppy disk holds more than 256K!
