Specialty or Vanity Plates in MN

    I just thought I would start this topic as a info thread. I was just wondering how many people on here have a Vanity or Specialty plate? What kind of specialty plate do you have? What kind of car are the plates registered to?

    AS A BONUS I was wondering how many of you have or have heard about or even WANT the "Remembering Victims of Impaired Drivers" Plates? Here is a picture:

    A Vanity or Specialty plate really helps define ones personality just like cars do.
    I was all for vanity plates myself until research tells me those things cost $100 to make however only cost $14 to replace go figure.

    Understood. I'd get one that I would take with me if I departed with a certain vehicle though. Its easier to remember when trying to fill out a form with plate info.

    Ive met many members with clever titles on here.

    I've had one for a decade. Makes getting new cars so much easier. Just go to DMV, pay the tax and title fees, get new sticker. Updated registration arrives in mail a few weeks later.

    I have collector plates on 2 cars and vanity plates on another. Vanity plates say "skwirtr"
    Wave if you see me on the road.

    I've had the same vanity plates since 2001. Definitely easier with new cars...especially in MN!

    Funny story, I actually ended up behind some douchebag in traffic in a twin to my car with the plate "SHOTIME". Drove like an asshat.

    since you have collector plates seems your good to ask how would the DVS know if you don't use the cars with the collector plates for regular driving?
    Specialty Plates cost $10 Vanity cost $100 both are transferrable amongst vehicles.
    Not really. It only costs $4 extra for the plates

    I was also behind that dude and he floored it to try to pull away from me and a huge cloud of black smoke poured out of his exhaust and he didn't really go anywhere.

    No, why would I have those?

    Those would lend themselves to all sorts of abuses. I run without license plates, I don't believe in giving money to the government.

    Helpful hint, don't get a collector plate that starts with a "w" cops can't tell the difference.

    Lol at shotime...I see that car all the time, much slower now.
