Hey yall, Over on the evo forums we have be throwing around the idea of having a big cruise. We should get everyone together, all car types and just go for a drive in some nice spring weather. I would like to nominate big Matt aka Bikerboy to head up this gathering. I really liked some of the roads we hit last fall. So what do you say Matt? Anyone who might be intrested give us a post. Thanks guys.
Chris, good idea. Have you gotten your EVO yet? I know a black EVO with 10K+ miles for sale, for $24K.
How about we get in on one of Ed Solstad's road rallies as a group? You'd need to have a codriver with you for the event but I'm sure it can all be arranged. Some of the roads he finds are obscenely fun to drive. How long ago was it we did the cruise out at Taylor's Falls?
I haven't gotten mine yet. I was looking to get a new one, but a much cheaper used one would be nice to. Does this Black one happen to be you brothers? Last year we had Matt with a co-driver and we all just played follow the leader.
Yeah, it's my brothers EVO I'm talking about. Well, bring out your Golf and we'll give it a swing to see how far we can drive it hehehe. I gotta work on my slice ya know...
I am game. The first fun run we did was pretty good, exspecially being as we just winged most of it. I was also thinking about getting a group together and head down to Chicago and hang out with that crown for a weekend. Kinda a haul, but it is a good group of people. Russ
Vic, Are u serious?? You bro. is selling his evo?? why?? I MIGHT be interested in it....... As for the cruise.....I am game, but just wait for me at the stop sign
you guys ever been to demontreville. one of the most wicked curvy roads out there. i dont know if you guys can handle it.
Oh, I think I would be able to handle it. Maybe that should be one of the stops. Although if I do have a new car roads like that might not be the best place to get used to it. Where is Matt? Did he take a vacation during these extra cold weeks
Demontreville is about 3 to 4 miles long with some really nice cruve. I can see initial D style driving. It's best to run it at late night. It's in a populated area and runs through the park (watch out for parked squad car). I wouldn't recommend too many cars out at once. There's a few crack here and there on the road but, if anyones interested... we can do a late night run.

I kill one more person with a car and I can claim serial status.
Chris: Sorry bro I have been quite busy lately with everthing. Sure you all know I am game for a good drive so count me in. I will have to talk to some of freinds to get a co driver again, the last one just about lost her lunch!
Well if we have about 15 cars total, consisting of subs , evos and srts. so if everyone mades it . It would be a really good cruise.
15 cars?! I think we will be follow by cops.....for sure But I am game....Steve-o you are fine....I am running all-seasons LJ
Yeah I think it will be fine it we have some guys with radar dectors and what not, maybe we can bring walkie talkies to keep in touch pretty easy to let people know whats going on???
That aint too bad of an idea. where would this cruise go anyways? Like through the entire midwest or just locally around MN for like a weekend?
I said we are need to go out and buy a handheld CB....yes, everybody .....who can get us a group buy??? LJ
I have a pair of 2 Miles Motorola unit... it's been working great for me for the last few years... interesting thing is I can catch conversation in my neighborhood as I scan through the channel LOL.
Yeah, i got 3 or 4 walkie talkies we could possibly use if the spring cruise happened. I am sure between all of us we could get enough and for anyone who did not have one would just have to be in the middle of the pack instead of front or rear
I have a pair of Eddie Bauer (sp?) 2 miles walkies too. If we get enough pairs, all we need to do is set to the same channel.
Noah, Hmmm... I'm not sure if that will work. I've tried using my Motorola with my Cobra radio, using the same channel and output range and I'm unable to make any connection... I don't think any radio would work together unless it's by the same brand, unless you're running a tunable range CB radio... I could be wrong and just needed some tweaking with my two radio.

Even the FRS radios most of us had have overlapping channels with some of the older radios.
I also have two so things are looking good. Hey yosmiley, do you a blue sti, ive seen one two days in a row, ond day kinda in st anthony and then the other day on 694, was that you by any chance???
Raced Guy, It wasn't me... I was out on 694 two days ago but didn't recall seeing a Red Evo though. My brothers got a black EVO with the same tail lights. He bought his about car and tail light right around the same time... which is about 7 months ago. Welcome to the club!!! Vic
