So a few months ago, I installed KYB GR-2 struts on all four corners of my 02 WRX...no squeaks or creeks...
A couple weeks ago, I put Hawk HPS pads on all four corners, and had the rotors turned...all was quiet till a week ago, when I started getting a creek anytime the suspension is doing it's job...during nose dive when braking, accellerating, hard cornering, and when I get out of the car.
The noise seems to come from the front of the car.
I'm thinking I might take the strut/spring assemblies back apart, and put some sort of lube on the spring perches, unless someone else has a better idea?
If I do that, should I do anything else when I do that?

Would that be a good excuse to upgrade my stock swaybar etc?;)

do you need an excuse? I'd do the rear first or both though.

If it is the sway bar bushing, a little bit of lube should fix it. That's what it sounds like to me, someone who is smarter will hopefully chime in.

No, don't need an excuse...I stay single for a reason:biggrin:
One thing holding me back is the village taking their sweet time getting the road by my garage paved...I don't think I could get in there without scraping bottom right now.

I've been having like the exact same squeaks. I was just looking at upgrading my front/rear swaybar/bushings/endlinks pretty soon.

Interesting, I just replaced all my shocks, (they were leaking oil), in my 06 wrx with tokikos...no problems with the squeaking. I do have a return to center issue with the steering which is from the top perch bearings needing some grease. That might be your squeak issue as well. Did you put the rubber shrouds/liners back in that sit between the spring and the strut? maybe the old ones were stretched wierd and didn't seat correctly and now they squeak?? Just a couple ideas. Lube away!

aftermarket sways (anti-roll) and end links never squeak or clunk.

In my searches (here and elsewhere) some say otherwise...some say they have to lube their aftermarket end links or bushings every so often to get rid of squeaks.

Yes it was but I consider the investment in those bits to be the best bang for buck improvement I made to my car. Even if I have to fool with them on occasion.

i would definitely grease up your front sway bar bushings first off before digging deep into the suspension
