stage 2?

Ok I have all what I need to move up to stage 2. My ? is if I install my up/downpipe combo and don't get it tuned right away will I hurt my motor or turbo. My main concern is the safety of my motor/turbo. Do most guys get a tune tune right after a install? Its going on 04 wrx for those who dont know. I want to install but I dont know if I should. Any suggestions/help will be apretiated.

I'd schedule for a tune first and then put the parts on a day before you get the tune. The safest way if you're asking.

 

When were you planning to tune it? I drove mine for a couple of days before tune, but I stayed away from boosting.

 

you can take it easy to a tuner.
try not to smash the pedal

BTW, there's quite a few guys running around without a tune (YIKES, I know).

 

One of them was of course me, a few months back.

 

Just stay out of boost.

This has been covered before tho. Srsly. And yes, like others have said. Shift the car into G for Grandma mode.

 

I know it been covered, but looking at old info is less interesting.
