Yeah, I've only ever seen him out in the Accord. My guess is, he doesn't have an NSX. Let me put it to you this way, if I had an Accord with a bunch of stupid audio show car BS done to it, and an NSX of any year in my garage, and it was Friday night and time to hit the town and cruise, I would be in the NSX. Every. Single. Time. I can't think of one time I'd want to be out cruising around in the Accord for leisure driving time. If that tool bag's purpose is to be seen and get attention, he'd take the NSX, especially to the HarMar lot where it is obvious to anyone there that they do NOT appreciate much beyond sports cars and classics and hot rods. I see people just shaking their heads as they pass his car, either he's completely retarded and doesn't see it, or he's in complete denial about the whole thing. Cliff's Notes: he doesn't have an NSX.
Do classified that guy to the same guy with that lambo door PT cruiser with the sound system. They could be BFF.
It does look nice, but the rim lip is outside the fenders and the tire is tucked in. I'd be scared to drive over 20mph Lol
I agree, there is a reason my car is dropped. I would want more room. But the overall work done to the car, I think it looks clean. I like the black and red look.
The sad thing is, if he had purchased wheels that were slightly less wide and had offsets that were vehicle correct, he probably could have used the money he saved to purchase tires that fit correctly. That car only looks "nice" from a distance, as soon as you get close enough to see that the rim edges stick out past the tire, it goes from looking "nice" to looking "stupid."
Soon it will have a STD... Does anyone think that your "rash" looks good??? Plus anytime I have streched my rubber out that far... POP... SH*T now I have to worry about STD's
That's one of the sad things. You can fit some stupidly wide (by Subaru standards) wheels/tires underneath the GR bodies with minimal (if any) bodywork needed. Instead, this guy went full retard and went stupid wide on the wheels and stupid narrow on the tires. This thread makes me want to buy a beater pickup and start running these people off the road.
Ahh.. I like the way this thread is going one of the only threads that still gets frequented over on MNSC is the "Low offsets and slammed" thread in the picture section. About once a year i roll in, swat the hornets nest, and proceed to watch all the retard bees fly head first into the nearby tree. here's the first endeavour: http://www.mnsportcompacts.net/foru...ammed-thread&p=1492174&viewfull=1#post1492174 gotta be logged in.. picture section had to become 18+ because some bitchy parent actually sent us an email that god forbid their 16 yr old kid saw some boobs.
I love how they try to counter your arguement by posting pictures of actual race cars. They don't see that the wheels and tires on those race cars are the correct size and properly fit the vehicle...derp. What's going to be hilarious in about 5 years....ask any of those tards now what they think of LED windshield washer nozzles. Guarantee, 99% of them say "Dude, lol, that's total rice. It's pointless and looks stupid." Now, ask them in 5 years what they think of hella flush. "Dude, that's stupid, the wheels don't fit right and the tires are too small. It's pointless and looks stupid." It's just the next stupid wannabe car-enthusiast fad. There's always something for people that suck at cars to do to "stand out" in the crowd. Race cars will go one route, and car-tards will try to emulate it for 1/100th the cost and end up with the next "hella flush."
What the f@ck is a frush? Slumming and frushing is the automotive equivalent of guy-liner and skinny jeans.
People aren't buying skinnier tires because they cant afford the proper size(I hope) these things are usually calculated depending what look you want. I just need to clarify this Also, Plenty "stancetards" have actually gobs of amounts of money into their cars even though they spend most their time making videos of their tires getting mounted or going in and out of their driveways scraping(seriously I still cant believe there's videos about this) but seriously, most of them have lug nuts over $250 just to colormatch and say the word "swag" On another note, a slight stretch on a car never hurt anybody and does look good IMO(to each their own) You guys also need to remember, not everyone is looking for the same goal or get the same satisfaction from their car be it originally a performance car or not, cars are an expression.. BUT I do agree, if youre going to do it, you must do it proper and get the proper alignment parts, adjusted angle balljoints/rod ends, skidplate, properly rolled/pulled/flared fenders/quarters, etc.. I don't believe in shortcuts regardless what route you go with your car
Bronze and red look? I heart LeBronze, but that shyte is too snugged and stretched. Looks like Kenny Rogers at a Nashville honkytonk trying to give t3h sexy eyes to his grand-daughters' friends.
You have chosen to speak on behalf of the stancetards as a whole? You know how i know at least a ****load of them are doing it because they can't afford better tires? because awesome brands like "Nexen" and "Wanli" are quite frequently the choice tire of the stancetard. So, on the basis that they've spent a ****load of money to ruin a car (and oh yes, they're ruining it.) this somehow makes it better? Lowering a car on to it's balls, stretching a small tire onto a wider rim, adding spacers to make it stick out as much as possible.. these all have incredibly detrimental effects on the handling of ANY car it's done to. oh look, a WRX with completely compromised handling. you know how i know this? i've spent 8 years trying to maximize the suspension of the same chassis. studying things like roll center, center of gravity and roll couple. the fact of the matter is, if you get a GD chassis to the point where the tires are under the fenders, you've ruined the handling of the car. But thank god the owner's got that big front mount intercooler and takata green race harnesses to "express" himself. clearly had no intentions of actually going fast, right? You can do it CLOSER to right with all those parts and tools, but short of actually changing the points where the suspension mounts to the chassis, you can't go that low without completely compromising the handling. So, you may as well cheap out because the results will be the same.
There's nothing wrong with pushing the envelope in any style but I do agree, I'd rather not be following or have anyone else following, a car with very stretched tires(your opinion is different then mine) on any Minnesota road. I do though know from experience with several different setups very close together and took very close note of the handling differences.. that so far, my old set up, 235/40/18 yokohama s-drive on 18x9.5 wheels, handled better then even 17x8 team dynamics with 245/45/17 rs3's. Also, I just went from a 215/45/17 dz101's on a 17x7.5 sparco asetto gara and now they're on a 17x9 rs rep's and they handle even better.. no lie! But that's not to say I'm not a little leery of pushing it with this this stretch, but there has been ZERO problems so far.. granted im not "slammed" and for many reasons.. but I do have swaybars/endlinks/lockbolts/struts/springs/whiteline rce kit/strutbrace/master cylinder brace/ss lines/wrx brakes(4 pots being rebuilt) so I am able to push the car decently.. I've been in friends cars that are slammed/stanced and they still handled well enough to have fun in, just not enough to win any time attack that's for damn sure, let alone complete any racetrack with an instant elevation change haha obviously if you are into racing, you wont choose this look love, its what makes a Subaru.. a Subaru
Also people pride themselves on scraping frame on the center of the road because its not worn in and collecting reflectors in the states that have them on their freeways.. they know they're ruining their car.. they just don't care. they'd be on bags if they wanted to keep the car nice oh and as for cheap tires.. that's because handling doesn't matter when that's what you're looking for.. you'll be at excessive camber and just replacing them often and never racing so why spend money on expensive tires? plus most "expensive" tires have firm sidewalls so they don't "stretch well"
Everyone has their version of how nice a car should look. I personally like that look minus the stretched tires. More flush is what I like.
All I can say is that on Saturday I passed the most f'ed up stancedmobeel that I've personally encountered. Vehicle: A horrifically violated Lexus 450, black, silver rims, some sort un-sounding aftermarket exhaust, ricer comrade in tow dinghy-style off his 6 in a vehicle not worth remembering. Location: 494 eastbound in between 100 and France Molestation: Stretched, squatty, and bent in the all the wrong places - like a Guatemalan John McCain (all due respect to Guatemalans, bros). Camber: It was riding on *maybe* 15% of the available contact patch...you do the math Vanity plates: I forget, but something akin to "SMLDONG" Stance: Criminally retarded. To his credit, windows were down with the AC on. Picture: I was driving responsibly...3rd gear at 70mph is no time for pics. As you were.
Should of been to cars and coffee. Pretty much all the cars in the "Stance movement" section (at c&c) that weren't a Lexus had hammered out wheel wells. You can literally see each hammer mark. What makes these guys think that it's clean enough to show at C&C is beyond me. I guess it's cool to have your wheel wells look like the rocky mountains.
I'm actually rather annoyed that they are let in. Louis, the guy who runs C and C, has stated that he doesn't want cars with body damage to be let in, yet there's all these f*cktards with bashed up body panels all over the place. In contrast, there's a big ol mercedes that is f*ckin SLAMMED, full Wald bodykit, and there's not a dent or a scratch on it, anywhere. So it's clearly possible to get super low without f*cking up your car, but these idiots seem to not realize that.
http://www.mnsportcompacts.net/forum/showthread.php?104963-Framebangin This thread went exactly as it should have.
Some people just like their cars to look a certain way and don't care about performance. It's an extension of their personality.
NSFW, at least turn the volume down.... I'm waiting for this dumb **** to start popping up on the roads around here.... Hopefully our MN roads are ****ty enough that it doesn't but I don't think we are that lucky...
I've seen it already. Lexus with HUGE ASS wheels, colored lugnuts, lots of negative camber. In Burnsville.
That has to be some of the stupidest crap I have ever seen. Why not just glue some rubber bands to the wheels, if all you are gonna do is wear out the inside 1/4 of the tire anyway.
