stg. 2 for my moms wagon

alright i wanna get my mom to stage 2 for the gas mileage benefits.......what im askin is what would be the quietiest setup but just a lil rumblesssssssssss....discuss

 

catless stock dp and stock exhaust?

 

a catted downpipe with a stock/sti catback
plus it won't be stinky for yo momz y0

 

a high flow catted dp I am guessing. if it is the stock one I don't know that you would gain that much. plus can you reflash stage 2 then?

 

They dont recommend stg.2 on a stock DP.

 

I wouldn't go much further than stock without changing the UP (if it's a catted one...).

 

oh i know this hahhah im just thinkin downpipe and sti catback for her just to get her to stage 2 might do the uppipe too but dont really feel like diggin into that one again

 

I didnt notice much at all of a gas savings with a stage 2 setup. Leave your momz car alone d00d.

I was under the impression that stage 2 got the worst mileage? I know mine dropped when I went to stage 2, but that may be due to the heavier foot that came with it lol

I have a stage 2 car with an invidia downpipe and STI axleback...its pretty quiet and the wifes daily driver. Mileage varies on her mood

 

what mileage are you guys seeing right now with your respective stages? i've been calculating mine over the last couple of tanks and i'm getting 27mpg average w/cobb stg2, UP/DP/catback.

 

i noticed better gas mileage on my stage 2.....and my mom told me she wants moh powazzzzzzzz :biggrin:

 

My gas mileage got better with a stage two tune

 

I have to say my mileage increased more with my new injectors but it did also go up with stg 2.

 

my opinion for the exhaust would be something other than the sti..its not that loud and said roooobles and ruuumbles are not very noticeable...check with blackozone..i think he has a similar exhaust setup on his 02 bugeye

 

I will build the exhaust.. ha a ha I would love to get my hands dirty with your mum...

I get about 3 mpg better after going Stg. 1. No matter how I drive.

 

I have a Cobb DP and STi catback. When it was just the full STi setup, my car had noticeably more bass and rubles. With the downpipe in it now, it makes quite a bit more turbo racket. Unless your mom is looking for something loud, it's a pretty good setup.
