So I picked up an 06 STI trans for my 02 bugeye and am looking to get the shifter straightened out. I am looking to replace most of the bushings and am having a hell of a time figuring out what I need. For starters my shifter is gold in color so I assume that I am looking for products for the 04-05? It already has a poly front shifter stay bushing that is in good shape. I am looking for the pair of bushings that are at the front coupler along with the one that connects the shift linkage to the shifter shaft. What is the best place to buy and how do I figure out what I need? Thanks in advance!

Nope, the 06 uses a different shifter assembly than the 04-05 according to TIC.

Ben, I will get a pic as soon as I get a free second or two.

The linkage changed, which probably means one of the bushings was redesigned to fit appropriately. The shifter and most other bushings appear to be the same.

I found some pretty good reading on TIC and believe I have it figured out. If you read through their installation instructions it shows what each of the bushings are for, just takes some time.

Yep, they had different bushings in the center section. I know because I got an 08+ shifter assembly, that had the 04 middle section for some reason. I had to swap out those bushings for the right ones. If you have a photo it should be pretty obvious.

Alright, I will try to run up to the shop today to snap a couple of pics. It would be nice to order them this weekend so I can get this thing installed!

If you order bushing directly from kartboy, usually the discount codes "FACEBOOK" or "BIGRON" (bigron gives a bigger discount) work, and he has $1 shipping for orders over $30 or $40.
