So after handing off my bugeye to @pinjasaur, I had initially planned to wait until maybe next spring to replace it but apparently I'm too impatient for that. As a result, I now have this 2016 series.hyperblue BRZ sitting in my garage. 92k miles with a few minor mods, and the usual chips/dings/scratches your expect for a daily. There are definitely several little things I'd like to replace or add to it, but overall loving it so far and excited to get some miles on it.
Enjoy brotha!! They are so much fun to drive. Could it use more power? Sure. Does it NEED more power. Absolutely not! It is very well balanced from factory Any interior pics?
As silly as it sounds, one of my favorite features is the steering wheel having almost zero buttons. With exception of the cruise control. Also, the car does really well in snow with snow tires.
That picture doesn't do that color justice! I saw a hyperblue BRZ in person at the Suzuka Circuit parking lot in Japan and it looks so good in person.
That would come in handy if I were driving it in the winter, but I'll just be driving my truck and getting the Taco all salty and dirty. Seriously though they are a must-have around here. I've got them or a similar product in all our vehicles.
I already have an Invidia R400 catback sitting in my garage ready to install and would really like to add an UEL header too, but unfortunately with us moving to CA in the spring that wouldn't fly with the smog testing. Can't change or relocate any emissions equipment so I'm limited to just what's downstream of the cats. I think it has to be on a stock tune at the time so if I can reflash it just for testing that might work ok. Haven't started looking into ECU tuning for it yet but if there's a fairly straightforward way I can install maps and reflash myself I probably will.
I used an ECUTek flasher on mine with a map and module from Delicious Tuning. From my understanding they now may be illegal with how the module tied into the emissions system though. From their website it sounds like they are updating things to gain compliance with their new stuff though.
