I am lazy and don't like detailing my wheels often so I swapped my front performance pads for OEM-style pads. These pads are basically brand new, I can't imaging I put over 500 miles on these. Part number is STP 309.15390. I think I tossed the clips, but I will look for them in my garage.

These retail for $52 plus tax. These can be yours in exchange for 2 six-packs of beer (the good stuff, not Modelo). Or something cool/interesting that I didn't know I needed.

These are front pads off my 2013 WRX, but fit many years/makes/models so please look up the part number for fitment questions.

LOVE the StopTechs, great stopping power and bite, but high dust.

Thread jack - what are other good brake pads with good bite, but less dust?

I've heard mixed feedback that Hawk pads have less brake dust, it's a pretty subjective thing to measure. The amount of dust on the Performance pads isn't so terrible, but I have gold rims so it really shows; I had the Stoptechs on my old car with grey rims and I never minded the dust.

Side plug for the Stoptech PosiQuiet Ceramic pads I replaced them with, not as much bite but one month in and I haven't noticed any dust deposits.

Bump for the pads, just offer me some beer; I just want someone to be able to use them instead of tossing $60 pads.

    Rule of thumb. (generally speaking)

    Want limited dust go ceramic.
Want stopping power your going to have to deal with some dust.

In my experiences while the hawk pads do stop well they do tend to dust quite alot compared to the competitors.
