Stripped bolt on camshaft pulley

    While trying to crack loose the bolt for the camshaft pulley, I rounded/stripped it.:mad: Anyone know how to fix that? The motor is out of the car. I keep breaking tools trying to break those bolts loose. NEED HELP

    heat the bolts up then try to take them off...

    soaked in pb blaster overnight?

    Plenty of WD-40 was used.

    wd40 sucks ass compared to pb and liquid wrench

    Did you use a 6pt socket? An impact is the best way to get those off. Otherwise you could grind a spot for a flathead screw driver bit and use a hand impact.

    Did you round the head of the bolt off or strip the threads? Proper terminology ftw!

    And WD40 is NOT a penetrant like Liquid Wrench or PB Blaster. I think you need a torch now...

    I did use a 6pt socket. Impact is going to have to be my next plan of action.

    link didnt work but I am sure he is talking about nut/bolt reverse removers.... sears or northern have them.. under $30 worth every cent
