Count me in. I'm very interested to see exactly what my stocker 2.5i will pull, at least get a good laugh.
I didn't even know this board existed. I have been over on the old board at MNSubaruClub.com still. Start time is noonish. End time is unknown, depends on how long it takes us to get the cars on and off the dyno. thanks for hosting this dyno day! i will have to swing in again sometime, now that i leaned out my car little. this whole dyno thing is addicting
I would like to thank everyone for coming out. We weren't expecting such a large turnout. I am sorry if were a bit disorganized at all or didn't get to talk to many of you guys. We are still getting used to the new dyno and the shop isn't all the way setup yet. Hopefully we can do something again in the summer or some custom tuning for some of you guys.
I didn't think that it was that chaotic. Everyone seemed to know when they were up next, and there was little down time between cars. I had a great time. Thanks again. :disco:
Thanks for hosting the dyno day, Mr. DBP! I had a great time! I really don't believe how I got 271 WHP and 281 ft/lbs. Did you guys enter my vehicle's wieght correctly? What would cause my car to dyno much higher than the other guys' cars? (besides the fact that my car is superior) J/K After leaving, I smelled something burning... it smelled like roasted nuts (walnuts sillies). When I got a chance to look under the hood, a rubber strap was laying on my turbo. The hot turbo burned the rubber strap and made it smell like roasted nuts. :yumyum: I just took it out and put it inside my car. I don't think you guys need it anymore because it's toasted. I'll just toss it.
its because you didnt have your GROCERIES in the back or Alpha Betas Sorority Houses' delivery of Honey in your car....:yumyum:
Thanks, Vic. It was great seeing so many people talking about horsepower and having actual dyno runs in the background to talk about. It's too bad we couldn't document the fun the fellas shared there. I didn't have groceries in the back seat this time, but a couple of lesbians would have made me so much more proud of my car. Do you have any to share? :yumyum:
:ladysman: nope they are busy licking :yumyum: the nectar from my (well lets call it a beehive) thats hanging near a TRUNK... if you know what I mean :eek4: ... but hey they may need something to pick their teeth  with when they are done.. should I give them your number... wned: Mods you can delete if this crosses the line... ha ha ha ha
well put it this way.... you try to get them by driving a their choice of car.. I just have well... the HONEY!!! guess which works.. ha ha ha ha and if you say the car then what are ya saying about your girly??? is that why you ran home too her?? so she wouldnt kick your butt for stopping at Cub to get some honey (not honey) though that would be the plan is too use the honey for the honeys... ha haa anyways.. lets get this back on to teh Dyno day... Fong I am going to start a NATHAN AND FONG THREAD... just so people can see us go back and forth.. ha ha ha ha maybe get a poll going voting on who is winning.. ha ha ha man I am good
congrats on the numbers guys, I can't believe there are two dyno dynamics in MN now. DB performance, how much is it to rent the dyno to tune? That is just for dyno time, I would be the one tuning. Thanks Ben
It is $120/hour. If you think you will need to use it for an extended time then we could probably work something out.
I'm contemplating having Shane take a look at my setup and do a couple hours of tuning in the next month. What's the going rate for that? They quoted my buddy $150/hour there, don't know if that's correct or not.
That is a good question, I never thought of that. Is the $150/hour the OTD price, or are their other fees? Another question, would there be a price break if were ti get a group buy. Or if we "assist" with the tuning. I was talking with Shane said he wasn't too familiar with the utec and I know i could do most of it, but his knowledge is what i need, would there be a price break if it was a "partnership" in the tuning??
I have done a couple WRXs with the UTEC, but it has been a while. Tuning it shouldn't be a huge deal. It just isn't like the AEM or Hondata that I use almost everyday from Spring to Fall and can do with my eyes closed, it will just take me a few minutes to get used to the menus again. PM me if you have any questions about dyno rates.
