Swipe locking function on driver's door

Hi - this question pertains to my 2018 Outback limited. It has the function where you can lock your car by swiping your finger over a sensor on the driver's door to lock. It worked fine yesterday. Today when I unlocked my car I needed to unlock for a passenger for the first time (not knowing the factory preset would let me unlock the driver's door only). Long story short, I pressed all the keyfob buttons. Everything works - and I fixed the unlocking only the driver's door in my settings - EXCEPT for the swipe to lock function. Any ideas on how to reset?

My wife's 15 Legacy was acting weird like that for a while, turns out she had the other key in the center console and it was trying to prevent her from locking it in.

 

Good thought. But the other keyfob isn't in the car. Thanks though.

 

Not to be a smart a$$, but is this addressed in the owner's manual?

 

It's less of a swipe...more of a touch and hold for a few milliseconds. Are you sure you're touching it long enough?

 

TMF, your simple solution was spot-on! I wasn't holding long enough. It was described as as swipe but it's a bit slower than that. Thank you!
