Tail lights

    My tail lights will not shut off when the car is off. 2004 sti. What should I look for?

    Did you ensure that your headlight switch isn't left in the "ON" position? I know on my 02 WRX, that if I turn my headlights on Manually they won't turn off automatically when I shut the car down...

    Actually I am an idiot. I did not realize that there is a parking light switch on the top of steering colum and I bumped it. After doing a little research I found my problem. The Internet told me that I am a stupid @ss

    Haha, yep, I was gonna mention that too, but I kinda have to "Visualize" sitting in my car...lol Glad you at least found out what was wrong!

    huh, interesting. i leave mine in the on position all the time and don't notice this, will check again.

    i was going to point out the parking switch, i hit that the first time i picked up the car, was like wtf for a few minutes until i saw the switch. electrical gremlins suck, glad it was any easy fix.

    LOL, Keep in mind I haven't sat in my car for oooooo 5 months now, I'm used to these army vehicles now...

    It's a pretty common occurrence. I think we all hit that switch by accident at least once and scratch out heads trying to figure it out.

    ....old post but I couldn't resist - I have done this to myself twice after detailing the inside and even the second time it took me about 10 min. to rememeber how dumb i am sometimes , ha!
