Sure he was, there's no question about it. And the 'ignore list argument' is BS.

 

Unfortunately, some people take life and the internet way too seriously. This is just another prime example of some people failing at being mature. Apparently our archaic, Prussian based school system has done just what it sets out to do; create a country full of childish adults.

And don't tell me you "...never had a beef with him." Why would you tell him before his ban to "get out and not come back?" If you didn't have a beef, than what would justify this statement? Could it be the pressure of a handful of people, who are on here ALL the time, who have more irrelevant posts than China has people, and who don't allow themselves to grow up?

 

Someone delete this worthless thread and all other threads dedicated to Taras please. We don't need any more coming out of the woodwork.

ignore list ftl..I had used it for a few days (not on taras cause I just avoided his threads if possible) but it did nothing cause someone quotes someone and you can see the post...would work better if everyone had added him but thats impossible.

 

You guys are no better than the others when you sit here whining about someone getting banned.

I've made completely irrelevant posts. I never got points. I've made threads asking ridiculous questions. I never got points, or a ban. Just like everyone else on here. It's a biased clique of a few people who don't like Taras, based on his spelling and personal views. You have the right, to not like someone. You have a right, to your own opinions. But when you perma-ban someone because of your "personal" opinion it becomes something else.

That's because you didn't have a bunch of retards with nothing better to do after you, reporting your posts and provoking.

 

Maybe now I will... I've ignored it until now, but the fact that this thread has 17 pages, underlines the problem. More than 2 people on here have started ridiculous threads, directly calling out, name-calling, and bad-mouthing Taras. These people add just as much to the dumbing-down of the collective as everyone else's stupid posts, including me, and including Taras. These people have just as much right to a ban, since no flaming is in the site rules!

The key wording in this is "CONSISTENTLY." Practice what you preach mods.

You guys complain about consistency, but you're all the same. "I like Taras in person, but he sucks on the internet." isn't that inconsistent? You either like him or don't. That would be consistent.

You could do well in Russia. Selectively telling on people you don't like violating the "rules" that usually nobody enforces, but which technically are there. And mods technically also have to follow those when reported.
Nothing wrong technically, but kinda low.

Ok...i mis-spoke, I was not under sniper fire. Not EVERYONE. That is too general. Mainly I was speaking to the people that say inconsistent crap like what I stated above.

I never hated him, I just really hate his posts. I don't know anything about him besides what he posts on the site, and if he's half that bad in person, he deserves a muzzle IRL.

Reporting doesn't do a thing. It just copies the post into the moderator lounge with a short description by the person who did the reporting.

It basically just brings the post to the moderator's attention.

 

Like the mods didn't log in and then search Taras's posts. Because it seems they ignored the worthless posts in his sale or wtb threads.

 

You'd be surprised how many ignore Taras's posts. I know I sure did when I was a mod.

 

that wasnt even a real damn thread, stop defending it. seriously, he threw that thread as off track if not more than anyone else, just like he does in every thread. he was a crappy seller, the thread was a joke, and he got banned. let the dead horse lay dead.

 

Taras and Vorgto were both given numerous opportunities to shape up their behavior. they blatantly ignored them, and were banned. I'm sure they will both continue to create numerous other screen names, which will also be banned. even if they are smart enough to make sure the IP address doesn't match, they're not creative enough to act differently on their new account. so they will be found, sooner or later.


WRXEcho. it happened, you don't have all the information, get over it. as for the consistency, we don't all see everything. But when we do see something blatantly against the rules, points will be given, regardless of who is doing it.
