I'll be heading out from the Highland Park area of Saint Paul.

Not sure if anyone wants to caravan with an Evo. ;)

yeah, we're neighbors, we should caravan.

    Of course!

Maybe we should meet at Firestone since it's central, close to a McD's, and right off the highway? Meet there 815 and
    leave by 830?

First off, I want to say thank you to the 2 eventmasters that pulled off a very good event at a new venue with some interesting challenges for course design. And also thank you to everyone thatworked this event to help make it run as smooth as it could. Also thank you to Brent and Aaron for helpng me with tech! You guys were a lifesaver!!

Secondly, thank you everyone that showed to participate. We had an amazing amount of entries!! Hopefully we can keep this rolling for the rest of the year.

And lastly, and by far the biggest THANK YOU, THANK YOU everyone one that donated at lunch today!!!!!!!!!!! I will be talking to the family within the next day or two and will let them know about everyones huge generosity!! I know they will just be blown away. I'm sorry they couldn't make it out to this event. I will see if we can have them come out to the next event. I will also let you know what they have to say after I talk to them.

It was an excellent new event, new challenges, and MNSOC pulled off a huge win with putting together the lunch! We raised over $500 for Kira! :eek3::woot:

Oh, and the Plumber doesn't make too bad of an eventmaster, either.

Can't wait to see if we can use that venue again!

As always, HUGE thanks the the event coordinators, timing and scoring, the volunteers, landowners, and participants. Special thanks to Brent for leveling the lot!

Hope to see NOS at the next event too... although next time I'll stick to 1 or 2 lol.

Tony and annie for helping out with the food thank you so much (sorry about the wind), Dave Goodman for helping me. Really I was just a very small part of a great group of people that makes this possible. Also again a HUUUUUGGGEEEE thank you to brent for running the bobcat and cleaning up our mess. Hope to see everyone at the next race!

that appears to be a pretty damn impressive save. surely there are better ways for you to get mark's opinion on your skidplate design.

Incredible event! Thank you all for making this a huge success. 49 cars has to be some sort of record...or damn close!

Question- Would people want to go to Raceway Park again? I'll be in communication with the property manager next week and there's a distinct opportunity we could be there in May...your feedback on the venue would be appreciated.

For sure. Great site, We just have to learn to minimize the rutting. Running the skidder over the bad stuff between run groups might not be a bad idea.

i have always wanted to get one of these for the track at my parents farm:

    http://www.drpower.com/TwoStepModelDetail.aspx?Name=PGR60in&p1Name=powergrader2step&Page=pgrmodels

two passes with the 60" model would really help. too bad the thing costs $1300.00 otherwise it would be a very good safety investment for the club. it would also keep land owners happy too as it would minimize the damage and allow for areas to be reused with different configurations. that was one of the problems with our site. we used the same layout too much and then when we changed it up a bit we ended up with a slight jump that caused some damage to the lower cars.

Missing a Rallyx doesn't mean that. At least with Rallyx there is always a next time.

Can someone who's smart with that help can me out with an animated gif? :)

I had a lot of fun. I was slow as heck. but I guess that is ok.

I also blew my front driver side strut from those HUGE bumps that developed right after the start on my last couple runs :(

+100 to this, I was just watching and I had a great time.

I would like this. I did not run this time and I am regretting it :-(. If possible I would like to see this venue again it was pretty cool and closer to home.

Some of the early birds were treated to a brief Scuba Steve and Boomer wrestling match. They both got dusty and were breathing very hard.

YES, the lunch was a huge success. Thank you to my wife Annie. You did AWESOME for helping me, as well as Holly! You also helped SO much! And Annette! You also were a huge help....

If you girls didn't help, then everyone would have had to wait for even LONGER. Also, if you all didn't help, this would NOT have went off. These 3 made it happen. And they arent even MNSOC members. Just the better halves of current members........

    Thanks to everyone that helped/donated...

one humble suggestion... is there any way we could have access to more porta-potties next time? I kept getting caught waiting in line for like 15 mins and being late to work the course.

Amy's skidplate is actually an adapted Prodrive unit from the old SRTUSA days with Lovell and Lageman. It's worth showing off, and I'm sure that's what she meant to do ;) When I talked to Amy she said Mark told her he could actually watch the bottoms of her wheels as she turned out of the roll!

Welcome to the bicycle club Amy :)
