    Got it.
A.Weld or hold the wastegate flap shut
    B. Plumb the EWG to avoid noise
    C. Tune

    Any word on your tune?

From what I hear the 06 wrx closed loop open loop throws alot of tuners a loop.

I'm still looking for a brief explanation of what this "cloed loop/ open loop" deal is.

It shouldn't; the OL/CL delay stuff is the same on the 06-07 WRX as it is on any other 32bit ECU. Only thing that may throw tuners off is the scissor timing caused by the Timing Comp Intake Temp B table (thats what romraider calls it, at least).

Here's the technical explanation of the OL/CL delay.

In short, OL/CL is basically a difference between multiple map values when driving. The closed loop has specific set singular values for fueling, which are used when the closed loop conditions are met (typically low throttle cruising situations). Open loop has fueling numbers for all RPM and load values that the car sees, so is used when you are on throttle and in higher load situations. The major problem with the stock ROM is that there is a delay between this transition, so if you quickly pound on the throttle, fueling stays in closed loop (lean) for a period of time, even when the car is making a lot of torque/power.

Yeah, the scissor timing was really pissing me off back when I got my '06. I was sooooooooooo happy once a fix was found for it.

This is like a bad episode of the twighlight zone, I drove the car from shoreview to Fobia's in Newport and was on a 20psi map and the wastegate worked fine. Im puzzled as to what could have happened.

It sounds like the waste gate was fine it just needed a new selenoid/spring.

I got the numbers for my car!

    Max TQ @ 4100rpms of 319

    Max hp of 315 @ 6500rpms

    18.5psi tappers to 16psi

    Powerband from 4100 to 6500rpm

I'm getting a estimate for a custom Transmission next

EWG will be added next when I have some gauges added like the boost, egt and Oil temp?

I'm picking my car up @ 5pm I'm bringing my new Perrin Air Filter to do a couple last pulls on the dyno for the final numbers (the old filter had a hole I fixed but I over oiled the filter  does the filters need oil? on mx bikes they always did, maybe not so much oil on car filters i guess?

I had to replace the whole actuator with a different one. Its a little softer spring, but I modified it to get 13 psi on the gate.

Michael can upgrade to a stiffer spring later on if you wants to. This is the only option I have at the time or wait a few days for an actuator. Age and wheel design will also make a difference on spool up. This is where the HTA stuff kicks ass.

    #3 isn't here yet ^ soon i hope

The car is fun 3rd gear pulls like crazy I haven't really pulled it past 5000rpms yet so still another 1500 R to go.

The darn APS B.O.V. won't open :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: it sounds like a rattle snake shaking it tail every time I let of the gas quick anywhere above 2500rpm. WTF :mad::mad::mad:

It driving me crazy. So I think the spring must be to stiff? Ron helped me we screw the bolt out all the way and it still goobles like a dang turkey. I will buy a sti 05' or newer B.O.V. if anyone has one Today Cash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Could someone help me install even though its proable really easy.

I'm going to sell the APS Bov as long as it can be fixed and use able to the new buyer. I'm going to check with Motarsarus first he had dibs on it. otherwise it for sale I think it needs a lighter spring.

Will it work? I asked Ron and he said it won't work unless he miss understood me? It will fit the perring intercooler fine? no issues with boost being higher?

It'll work. Paper gasket vs rubber gasket. SHOULD both be compatible.

Or else I've got a SARD you could buy. ;)

I made my gasket out of refrigeration gasket material, and I cut it to shape then used some rtv to ensure the seal....

I got more gasket material if you wanna try to cut your own!

    2nd gear pulls past 65mphhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Now that I can go to 6500 rpms

It pulls like crazy from 4 to 6.5K :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

The turbo is really easy to hear spool and when you really get going it is spining so fast.

    Everyone with a 2.5 needs a 20G (Must Have)

I going to have R S do a EWG Next and some Gauges (Defi)

Next year a custom 5 spd Transmission the gears are perfect I won't want them much shorter maybe a 6spd swap I'll have to see what is the best for performance and Quality.
