If the engine's shot it doesn't mean she's garbage!! Hopefully its JUST the engine that's wrecked. Then swap it out, and fix some panels. Panels are cheap.

Omg you guys are getting my hopes high and I haven't even gotten the news yet. If I get to fix it I'll be drivin like a granny and then everyone will hate me. Most def on some kick ass suspension. I'll just need it to run for now, but this thread has me dreaming up plans that will take awhile, like the suspension, sway bars, Sti brakes, slotted rotors, better tires, hell maybe even a roll cage.

lol, I know riiight? When I was inside the car I was expecting it to look like ****. Then when I actually saw it after getting it towed out I even thought, man if it nothing happened to the engine, I could throw a spare on it and drive it off, but the damned windshield too.. bleh, I'm gonna go look at pics of when she was pretty and I didn't hurt her. He doesn't have an engine in the living room, maybe his pants..lol Brother in-law, don't got one unless one of my brothers is gay. O.k, sister in law is a mechanic then. haha, Just need to get the car back! I think that the motor will run. May need to put some fluids back in it though before you start it up. lol.
That's for sure, and clean up all the dirt I angrily threw at it. Ooo, I can go back and put that damn washer I forgot on the tranny. I'm sure the car is so pissed at me, I gotta make up it to her and fix it,.
if you get it back. toss a new oil pan on it, and filter. add fluids and see if it runs. if it sounds good you can roll with it (upgrade later?), or if it sounds like death..... well then it needs some work. I highly doubt that dirt in the engine bay hurt anything.

Yeah, I guess they called last week and my step dad is a little slow in the head he didn't pick up or check his voice mail, turns out they needed the key for the rims, so they can check that stuff out. I just sent it out Saturday so hopefully they get it today or tomorrow. I'm guessing its probably not totaled but we'll see. I also talked to the rents about signing the title over and letting me pay for my own insurance. They said it's gonna cost a bitch but I rather do all that than have to ever go through this again in the future. They don't seem too happy about it, but I gotta start sometime and I think it's the best for both them and I.
