2003 Outback L.L. Bean, H6 with 110K on the clock.
Everything works perfectly and clean Outback is CLEAN on the inside.
A few cosmetic issues on the outside, but for a free-and-clear $5,500 car, I'll take it.

The only issues are a whistling sound from the mirror-area of the door at highway speeds, no audio-in yet for an iPod or phone and it pulls slightly to the left.

You got that with the sole purpose of giving Paul H6 envy, didn't you?!

HA! The goal was to sell my car liquidating all, or at least most of the $ to buy a car and eliminate a car payment. The H6 find was lucky- and thanks TO Paul. I wanted to find something within the budget that (a) had been owned by a responsible people or few people, (b) had a reliable motor and transmission (c) wasn't trashed. I'm REALLY happy with it so far - everything works perfectly and it's in GREAT shape inside. Now I don't have to worry about my kids riding their bikes and crap by my car.

Stance coilovers (slammed) 18X10.5 wheels with a +28 offset. Then it will be legit.

The whistling is the mirror gusset, try tweaking it inwards. Welcome to smooth reliable dailyness.

whistling mirror = standard-issue subaru...along with crappy sound systems lol

Anyway, nice pickup at a very fair price! I've always liked the idea of the H-6, although I've never driven one.

I tried pulling the mirror in to the window last night and it helped a bit.
Is it just an issue I need to learn to live with?
