thats what i thought... thanks just wanted to make sure so i didn't have to leave em with someone or bring em and end up having to cut the day short
no 3 times as much.... you know how i like to keep it gangster and poo in the open grassy areas... i hate being confined to a toilet! HAHA
13 days left! Get involved and help make this a great event! **To all of you that plan on bringing dogs...Please make sure that they are on leashes and all "messes" are taken care of immediately! We will most likely be playing kickball in the grassy area outside of the shelter. Nobody likes messy shoes! Lol. And also, please try to keep them on their best behavior. Thanks! -Josh
I will see if I am going to make it to this cruise. I have a interview tomorrow and if I get the job then I will be getting a car loan next week. So I hope I get the job so I can make it to the cruise.
good luck... but getting a loan right after a new job isnt the smartest.. see if you like the job more then a mth or they like you!!!
Edit: Subynate is now Subynate + 1 It's complicated- we switched cars and drivers... blah blah The good news is I am going to drive my bugeye now with my new rims!!! (if they really get here by June 4th) If they don't, you'll be able to find me sulking behind the wheel of the only WRB WRX with stock rims and snow tires
no im going to steal your rims before you get them then ill be with new rims and you with some stockers MUHAHAHHA
Hey yeah every one is good. I wasnt even loaded. If it wasnt for the grilled stuffed burrito i was eating it wouldnt even have happened. Looked down to take a bite, dude in front slammed on the brakes for no apparent reason. WRX vs. Ford Excursion.....Ford-no visual damage...WRX $6700 damage....driver(me)-8 hrs in henn county jail lol. no..no lol
who gives a F*%$ about your dignity... +1000000 stupidity... glad you and the passengers are ok... on the other hand a night with bubba may have worked wonders for you...
Google map of the route. Same as last year. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=...4.357242,-92.186279&spn=1.229332,2.232971&z=9
Pardon the newbness, I've never done this event but it looks like good fun. Do most people stay and camp in LaX, or is there a cruise back to the cities also?
last year was the first ANNUAL... cruise.. Most people left on their own once the 'OFFICIAL' day was over around 3pm ish... this year people are looking to camp saturday night and stuff... Not at all mandatory but an option... This is a fun day... it is only going to get better and better... Tangled put in a lot of effort last year being the first one of these the forum/club had done, and he was truly a newb to the club.. but he got a erk and went for it.. did a fantastic job and hence is now the Event planner for the club... ha ha as far as a cruise back to the cities I am sure if you have enough people leaving around teh same time a little caravan would be good...
Last year people just split up after food in the afternoon. I believe a decent amount of people are planning to camp this year, though.
:emo:I have to cancel on the Lax cruise. I will be breaking up my foundation and digging out my main sewer drain line in the basement for the rest of this week. I really wish I could go but I have way to much work ahead of me that has to get done before the plumbers get here to replace the pipe on Sunday. I'm really sorry guys but I would like to be able to flush my toilet without it backing up into my basement. I hope everyone has a good time. Take lots of pictures.
Yikes, that sounds terrible!! To bad you can't come, but sometimes life just gets in the way of our hobbies.
We're tuning the car of course to prepare for the drive there and back, and the tires are good, but I'm wondering if anyone going has "emergency" equipment that they'll be taking (jack, etc.).
I'll have a 12v air compressor, a tire puncture repair kit, jack, maybe a jackstand, some basic tools, tow strap, spare quart of oil... just regular stuff I carry on road trips.
And I have a fire extinguisher if needed. Bringing some 'common use' stuff wouldn't hurt anything at all! Ex.10mm socket, jack, ...pretty much anything that Joel listed above. Better safe than sorry. Other than a couple of very small incidents last year. The "event" was pretty "uneventful" when it came to emergencys. Hahaha.
Btw...2 days left!! Make sure that you show up with a full tank and empty bladder!:biggrin:We leave at 9am sharp! Please try to be a little early to get your maps/tickets!
That would be awesome if we could park in the pavilion by color, model, body style, etc... but it would be crazy hard to coordinate. We did that at one of the snowed lot meets last winter and it was hard enough with a dozen or two cars.
Not exactly...but I will be trying to get a few cars to be "lead cars". They will need to have FRS radios.
Yeah, just don't let me lead this year. lol. I'm the one who made up the maps last year, and I still took a wrong turn.
Well the Rochester people will have to grab their tickets and maps after we arrive in Lax! But then you can come find me so that I can hand out the Car Info slips. I don't know all of you by names or anything so you might have to wave me down and tell me who you are!!
and lead cars, can we please keep the speed somewhat close to the limit? I thought that's what we were doing last time but I remember we got kinda fast last time in some areas.
