Well, I'll be driving the speed limit on the way down, regardless of how fast the lead cars are going, which I doubt they will go too fast anyway. It's cool to keep the whole group of cars together, but I'm not gonna go too fast to catch up if we get split up by stop lights or something... I think that's why people were going a bit faster last year.
if we get split by stoplights (which we will) the front half should slow down slightly (front half drive speed limit, back half drive "normal speed" - wouldn't take long to catch back up)
Well, we should stick to the right lane most of the time to not piss off other traffic too much. But at stop lights, we should evenly divide the cars between the two lanes so we can get through in as few stoplight cycles as possible. Then, once we get through, go back to the right lane. Just pay attention to the car in front of you and let them move over, etc. And don't follow _too_ close. I wouldn't worry about the front group going too slowly because we'll likely catch up at the next light. Also, having a few gaps in our procession will give cross traffic at least a half a chance to get through rather than wait for 3 miles of subarus.
Has any one checked the Weather forecast? Is this a rain or shine event? I haven't been to the pavilion but will it just suck if it rains all day?
The pavilion is big enough for everyone to hang out underneath it and not be crowded. I think last year the only time most people went out of it was for the group photo. So I think it'll be fine in the rain.
I am in for sure. I have all my tools in my trunk so I will bring them with on the trip. I think I have pretty much everything needed to dissassemble/reassemble a subaru with the exception of a few odd ball things like a 32/36mm for axle nuts and a T70 or whatever for those newer 5spds.
 Not being a baby, I just didn't know if the place was big enough to accomodate everyone. It would suck for some people to get left out in the rain. Also, it is supposed to be severe weather with hail hnoes:
OK next order of business. I already talked to Josh about this, I will be bringing some games to add to the raffle. What is the prefference PS2/PS3/X360? I'll bring some of each but I'm wondering if I should have more for a particular console.
**Here we go...tomarrow morning...try to arrive around 8am please-departure time is 9am SHARP(we need to keep to the itenerary because the food will be waiting for us when we arrive)...bring a full tank of gas...run in Wal-Mart for drinks and munchies if needed(there are NO stops scheduled along our route)...I will have a team of people helping me get everything else you'll need to you before the cruise... This is a "cruise", not a race! We will have a "pace car". They will be instructed to travel at or just below the posted speed limit! When we get this many cars in one group, it can cause some issues with other travelers...If we keep below the posted speed limit, it allows vehicles to safely pass our convoy. So, again, please follow SAFELY behind the pace car and pay attention as they may be instructed to slow down so that the rest of the group can catch up! I honestly hope that everyone enjoys themselves this weekend! Can't wait to see you all tomarrow morning!** Thanks-Josh
Here's a map for directions to the Wal-Mart, for those of you unsure as to where you're going. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=...688,-93.040348&spn=0.007595,0.006652&t=h&z=17

I predict a miricle... with that many subarus doing the carebear stare... something wonderful is bound to happen.
Would these work with the radios everyone else is using? I've never used these, are you able to hear everyone on the same channel or just the other person with the other radio that makes up this pair? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...radio&lp=3&type=product&cp=1&id=1209165020761
yeah, those will work. You'll be able to hear everyone on the same channel as you as long as you use the same pirvacy code. We're gonna use channel 9, code 0 (or no code), so set it to that and you'll be good.
Anyone who plays disk golf will be excited to know that across the street where everyone is camping there is a nice free 18 hole course right on the river!!! Let me know I would be down for a game if it is nice out!!
