They're from Japan. They're 18x8 +47 5x100. Silver in color with polished lips. Let the guessing begin. Uncle Sam was good to me this year.
Are you serious? Those will look really really good on your car. There really aren't too many 18x8 +47 wheels out there... especially mad tyte jdm.
prodrives are goin in for paint on Friday! they are being put into skarecrows vicious hand for the weekend. color suggestions?
The same color they were. I thought they looked great on your car, other than the weird discolored pitting or whatever that was.
I was thinking the same silver. Maybe BBS gold, maybe bronze. But because I am having skrecrow paint them I can petty much have any color you an possibly think of so why go with a typical color when you could do something 1 of a kind.. Jbp colored wheels sound hot but idk if they would go with my greeeen car :/
Very Sexy which is why on Tuesday I order a set like them... Just not as awesome... I'm moving away from the lip though. So they will be all black
Mad props to this car, and owner. I'm so sick of played out prodrives on EVERY subaru. Best looking car/wheel combo in this thread.
Put my summers on a couple weeks ago now, but took some pics today while making the car nice and shiney: Wheels: Dirty: Half clean: Clean:
Careful, it isn't the So-Cal thing, don't let them fool you. It is So-Cal sortof, but I'll explain why in a second. First off, running 10" wide wheels with 235's stretched across them isn't "agressive." Well, it's agressively stupid, but I wouldn't call it an "agressive" tire setup. This is all about being poor and wanting to look "agressive". This is what the neighbors to the south of So-Cal do to their cars. They stretch tiny, inexpensive tires over wider wheels, and then they have them protrude from the fender well because they were either too stupid to get correct backspacing and offset, or they are too poor or stupid to either get wider fenders or pull their fenders CORRECTLY. Either way, it's fail on all accounts. To PROPERLY run 10" wide wheels on an Impreza, you're going to need an offset that pushes the wheels away from the struts and springs, this unfortunately pushes the wheels out beyond the stock fenders. You can remedy this the CORRECT way by simply getting wider fenders, having a body man weld panels on to make the fenders wider, or pull the fenders. And why do 10" wide wheels exist? So that you can have tires with 10" of usable tread width wrapped around them. Hence the need for wider fenders to accomodate the new meats you put on. For the "soooper agresssive" retards on Nasioc, they instead keep their stock fenders and beat them with hammers or fender rollers, then they buy 10" wide wheels and stretch tires with 7" of treadwidth over them so that their sidewalls are at a 45 degree angle...a good hard turn will probably get you rolling on the sidewalls....how flush of you. With their tires stretched, they can run ridiculously low on their wheels and tires without worrying about rubbing them all over the fenders. And why do they do this? Because stupid has become somewhat of a status symbol for some folks. And I'm going to go ahead and show you exactly where this all came from, because I think you need the cold slap of reality. This 'sooper agressive' crap isn't some new fad, it's been around for a while. And we laughed at it back then too. View attachment 16002 There you go. OMG HELLA FLUSH (it down the damn toilet). There is nothing cool or tasteful about buying wheels for your car that don't even remotely fit under the fenders. 9" wide is about the maximum I'd put under an Impreza street car with stock fenders. And you'd better have 255's on them otherwise, you're stretching. And that's what VW guys do. Do you want to be like VW guys? View attachment 16003 ^^foolishness.
^^Agreed 150% although, i do have a small place in my heart for a old school vw rabbit with some 13x8 with a 215 tire... not supper streched, but a little bit.
hardly any of them run dinky ass tires on their wide wheels. most of them run 245-265's. im not sticking up for them but youre basically taking a stab at the vw guys (fine by me). the subaru guys are a little different, although some do stretch the tires a little bit further than most of us (including myself) would like to see, they never do it nearly as much as some uhh...hispanics down south, or the vw guys. cali = money mommy & daddy + cali + good job = money son + bitching and moaning + rich mommy and daddy = sti son + unhappy with sti = new wheels and tires that can easily cost 2k expensive tastes = not cheaply done not cheaply done = good looking car.
First of all, I moved here from So-Cal. There are no more spoiled rich kiddies there than there are here. In fact, there are more annoying ones here than I ever met during my time down there. With that said, 245 tires ARE dinky on a 9.5" wide wheel. And I've seen some of the pics those toolbags post, where you can see the inner edge of the lips on their wheels...you know, that spot on the wheel that you are supposed to have tire covering up. Expensive tastes = not cheaply done 18x9.5 rotas + 245 tires = cheaply done. And half of the cars in that 'sooper agressive' thread don't look good at all. They look retarded. The ones that do look good are the 17/18x9 guys running 255's. The rest of them look like poser VIP types...the kind of garbage that litters car shows like HIN.
i agree that 245's on 9.5's look retarded but some even run an 8.5 wheel with 245's with a really low et, that doesnt look so retarded. but im with you on the stretching issue, it does look stupid when people have fatass wheels with tiny tires. however, everyone who owns Works wheels and the nicer genuine wheels seems to know how to properly fit wider wheels & tires on their cars. like running 255's with 9-9.5 wide wheels. and some actually look good, you just need to weed out all the massive gaping *******s on that thread.
