I would have to agree with this, except I moved from Nor-Cal. Yeah the whole streched tires thing was being done on lowrider mini trucks in the 80s and 90s, usually with gold daytons and white wall tires. Remember the dancing beds and doors? LOL

Try to find a PSM rear window spoiler for it (like 06/07 STI), to set it off and balance it out! I bet that would look shweet!

I use the same rims in summer & winter. In summer, I am currently running on Potenza RE070's.

 

Potenzas are so tight but damn expensive!

 

What wheels are these? I know I've seen them before & probably heard the name, but I've forgotten. They build a tent in my pants...

Why such dark tint in the back with no tint in the front?

 

whole wheel. they were kind of glittery, but not anymore.

the whole car was tinted,(I bought it that way) and I really dont like tint, so I took the fronts off, and didnt get around to doing the back. but its all comming off sooner than later. plus if you see the passenger rear is off already (actually i broke that window) so its just the other 2 left.
besides, Its been cold! i havent had a chance :laugh:

 

what suspension are you running?

have fun with the back window. it might be easier to replace the back window instead of trying to peel the tint without ruining the defroster.

 

ya know, I never thought of that. maybe I'll leave the back on alone.

 

i had no problem taking the tint off the rear window of my jetta...

Finally washed my car this weekend and took a couple pics. Just installed my new springs, struts, and tires a couple weeks ago.

 

they look great, are those the uk 17's?

 

just peeled it right off.

car was sitting in the sun for a little while and just took a corner and started peeling.

 

how did you get the glue residue off?

 

Thanks. They are Sparco DS1 wheels with 235/40/R18 Potenza RE-01R tires.

 

i dont recall that there was any....

 

if someone needs tint removed i can do it.. i detail cars and do this often let me know
