Night Shot Posted this in Photo Tag the other day, but I thought it was a pretty good shot. May try to reshoot this, as the grainyness of the skyline drives me crazy. i'll post here if I ever get around to it.
what camera? point and shoot? high mp p&s cameras have too small of a sensor and really get a lot of noise at higher ISO or at night
It's a Pentax K100 D SLR with a 18-55 lens. Nothing special. I'd like to get some more lenses but all my money has been going into the car lately.
I'm a newb so I'll take any advice you can give me. I know I could have gotten the shot better if I had more time to set up, but it was very dark and I may or may not have been parked illegally. Thanks. interesting that is so noisy at ISO 200 - also the whole thing is slightly oof (out of focus). if you're rushed like you said you were that can lead to focus problems. use the on camera timer at night (or a remote shutter release) - that will also help with keeping down shake
Hmmm... Maybe driving around Lake Calhoun??? Looks like it could be one of those lakes around Uptown!
canon 30D primarily. carry a 300D as a backup - although I'm considering buying a second 30D or a 40D
