    Nice curve, Fuji.

However, I would've wanted WAY more boost than that.

Well, I don't remember the #'s exactly, and I don't have a printed graph... it sure pulls a lot harder tho. Pump gas map feels similar to my Clark tuned vf39 '06 wrx that made 255, 305 on RS's dyno last summer. I'm sure an overlay will show more area under the curve with Jorge's tune.

    Car is an 07 sti.
header, uppipe, catted downpipe, stock axleback, fp, gm bcs. 2500 miles, so I expect it to loosen up a bit over the next year or so.

I think on 92 oct it made:
    ~240whp
    ~280wtq

    100oct, same boost:
    ~250whp
    ~340wtq

I've heard that stock STis in the past have put down somewhere in the 210-220 region over at RS. Perhaps Ronnie can chime in on this one.

^sounds about right. All my numbers lined up with everyones expectations, including mine. Jorge and Ron were both surprised by the gobs of torque it made on 100oct tho.

No baseline pulls were done bc of the gm bcs (boost maps would be way off on cobb ots map)

Matt, you can take me out of the first post. My car is in winter hibernation til at least March-Aprilish. The original thread was a little vague as far as when this was happening. If Jorge comes back in the spring I'm in.

Can't wait for another group t00n in early spring!?!

I may just have to drive down to get it done so they can install the GM BCS right before the tune and I can drive around with the Cobb OTS map until then.

I installed the bcs the night before and drove the 20 miles to RS with no boost. Car ran fine, no cels, etc...

He needs GEARS! seriously. Fuji has one of the coolest swaps on here. So much blood, sweat, and tears and so much imagination and experimentation. Now that its making gobs of power (all the way till 7200 btw:eek3:) it just needs a tranny with the right gearing and that won't assplode.

06 STI Stg 1 (all stock) Clark road tune with RS dyno after.
    257whp. @5650rpm
    287wtq. @ 3850rpm

240/280 seems a bit low for all those bolt ons, especially out of an 07.

    estimated peak numbers. no graph.

Clark's tune on my vf39 2.5L wrx made good peak numbers but the power curve left something to be desired.

    catted. stock axleback.

I'll have et and trap numbers in the spring. Those numbers are actually usable/comparable.

+1. have it all ready to unplug/plug. I was gonna do that (leave it semi installed and unplg/plug the hoses at RS) but went ahead and undid the turbo lines while the intercooler was already off. Took maybe 2 minutes to unplug/plug everything. Can't imagine the turbo/wastegate lines would be that difficult to get at unless you have some ginormously awkward top mount.

yes, I need a JDM 6spd. I need 8k revs.... the next step is to refine this setup. Finish porting the heads, and rebuild the spare EJ22T for it. Need better exhaust manifold too.

I'd imagine that's because of the vf39 more then anything, no? They always run out of breath early on.

This is something I would like to consider later in the spring. Is this a bad place to ask for your suggestions for what mods to do before being tuned? I'm just talking basic stg 2 car. Fuel pump? gm bcs? Turbo inlet? others? Mines an 05 STi but maybe suggestions for other cars too. If this clutters the thread too much don't answer otherwise I thought it might be kinda handy info.

Well the comparison was between my 06wrx, catless and straight thru axleback with vf39 and catted "stealthback" stg2 07 sti.

My disappointment with the power curve on Clark's tune was a combination of driveability, info from datalogs, and the overall tuning experience with him. I knew what to expect from the hardware. I was not as happy with the overall package as I am with Jorge. I attribute this to Jorge's tuning style and the overall (great) experience.

Or unless your hands are gigantic

You can have the whole gm setup with your stock boost there, have the hoses ready and all, just pull over, swap hoses, drive without boost. Shouldn't take more than a few minutes.

If anyone was wondering about my last tune, it was a big DNF. Matt took a look at my car and my FP20G is toast. I have an SR56 on the way and Turbo XS DTEC boost controller as well. Hopefully it will all work out next tune unlike how my other car locked me out while running with my son in the car and my daughter and myself standing out side the car this morning. Yeah for crap breaking ;)

Got a print out of the graph tonight:

    92 pump:
    247whp
    299wtq

    100 oct:
    281whp
    342wtq

What was really impressive was the stock boost map (50/50 92oct 100oct)that made:
    ~255whp
    ~275wtq

Thanks again to Jorge, Matt, and Ron.

Another thanks to Matt, Ron, and Jorge.

After fixing some problems on the dyno (I hate being "that guy"), we managed to get a decent tune on the car and put out....

276 whp and 265 trq on 91 oct

Car feels WAY smoother then the tune done by DB. With the old tune, the car hit like a hammer when the boost kicked in. With this tune, I am pushing more torque earlier and the progression is a LOT smoother.

I will get a scan of my sheet tomorrow.... We only managed to get one full pull on my sheet and it had lower numbers than my best pull. On the best pull the y-pipe blew a connection at about 6000 rpms. It would have been interesting to see what horsepower would have peaked at seeing as the line was still climbing at that point.

    Thanks again.

Here is my dyno graph from this weeekend...

The big vertical streak in the graph is where my intercooler hose blew off, oops.

Green line is boost pressure (max of about 20.5 psi)
    Bluw line is AFR
Black lines are torque and horsepower
