Its a fast cruiser. and the new one is slower then the old one by something like 13 mph, not impressed yet. You like turns, I promise you will hate that bike.
whaaaaaaaa? Pre 07's are like 120hp, 1/4 time of like 11 sec stock 08+ is 200hp, low 10, high 9 sec 1/4 mile,,,,stock Where do you get your info  I acually was driving behind one the other day, dude was cutting the corners pretty nice, I was suprised
sheeeeeeeeeeet, I dont need to go 180 mph  I dont know if I can switch to a cruiser just yet either, well see
I'll be doin some riding tomorrow late morning into the afternoon with a friend of mine, if anyone wants to come. PM me and I'll check the site tomorrow before I head out.
My 2 cents: For all those who are looking for fun bikes...look for something that is fun from 0-100 MPH. Most bikes can go over 100MPH, but the real fun is getting to that 100MPH out of the twisties or having nice passing power. Anything over 100MPH is fluff and 99% of all riding is done below 100MPH. The rest is bragging rights.
The V-Max always handled like a pig. I love the looks, though. As for power and speed, the second you jump from a 1000 down to a 600 and twist the throttle, you'll think the bike was broken as your friends pull away from you. Seriously, you'll be left wanting.
You mean break the bike? My tuner had that happen to him when he was road testing my old 6R. He called at midnight to tell me he was stranded out in the boonies.
nice collection you got there Ray! I love the red honda! Correct me if i'm wrong but i'm pretty sure that is a 954
Thanks for the compliment. Yep, CBR954RR. I put it up for sale this fall, but the market is so soft there was no interest. Winterized it and it will go back on the block in the spring.
I know it's snowing and below freezing but is anyone else planning on going to the motorcyle show this weekend? We'll be going saturday morning to poke around a bit.
I usually go every 3rd year, its the same thing over and over,,,just different colors. Plus my bike is for sale, no riding in 2010 for me
We do need a comparison picture so you can see that while they are alike... they are very different. My original idea was to get a burnt orange ZX10, but I couldn't afford to pay the rediculous insurance on it, so the Z1000 was the best choice!
^^^I just took a closer look and yes they are more different than I first thought. But you guys all still match nicely. Consider me officially jealous.
Exhaust will have to wait, as it will get a full system ($1625 OUCH!) HID's will be on order soon, and the rear fender will be eliminated very soon!!!!
So far they only offer slip-ons, and those aren't actually the mufflers. They are basically exit valences. The muffler is under the bike. I will have to wait and see what is available when I can afford it, but so far it's only Akrapovic.
Those 2010 Z1000 are sexy... Selling my Sv this spring and gonna try to look for a Ducat S4R... Nakeds FTMFW!!!
Coming to the Euro-trash side, huh scoobs? I thought all of us Euro-bike snobs were on the East side! For the record here, I own an Aprilia SL750.
Haha! It's MNSBR's fault (and Ryan's) why I got so interested in Subaru, man! I tell you though... this is the first time in my life that it will actually be a difficult choice to take the bike (and leave the Subie) when it's nice out. This is coming from a hard-core streetbike rider too!
I don't ever have that issue. If it's nice out, it's the bike. Keeps the miles off the car, and I drive it everyday during the winter.
If I can get the $$ together to restore my 74 Honda CB360t, hopefully it will be on the road next year....I've got to go frame up on it, it sat in a shed for a LONG time. It's only got a little over 6k on it, lol.
