For sure! It's way different, although I haven't gotten to ride it yet. Now that I have it though, it's going to snow at least once a week through mid march
I was going to stop you at the show tonight and say hello (kinda hard to not know you when you wear a Scoobyvroom shirt) but got sidetracked by someone on the way over. I had a sweatshirt on and was working the ZARS booth right next to CRA booth.
I just spodded two tricycle motorcycle, on 494!!!!?!?!?!?!! those guys are crazy! who would ride on a day like this?
Deleted the fender (just for Shibbs). Now the snow has got to quit, and old man winter can get the F out! Bring on springtime!
I'm itchin to have the snow go away and the gritty stuff off the road to get my bike out too. Don't get me wrong, the snow can be fun when open streets and parking lots aren't plowed, but the ****ty traffic jammed commutes get old.
Everyone wonders why I have that shirt. Trust me it's kinda nice, Everyone from SVrider, FJRforum, and MNSBR all know the picture. I've have had lots of people come up to me and introduce themselves.
Anyone up for a trip up the North Shore this Summer? Scoobs, a few others and me scooted up and bitchslapped Hwy 1 to Ely last Summer... Anyone interested?
YES, definetly down for hittin up hy1 Also down for hittin up Twisty60 and some Wisconsin ABC's I AM ALWAYS DOWN FOR RIDING
This Is the Newest to the collection I picked this up R6 this winter View attachment 20537 I got the DRZ400SM last summer View attachment 20538
No i got it from a guy in Uptown he broke his back and couldnt ride it anymore so he let it go really cheap
Better yet Bill, maybe you should buy this 650 from me! I'm still working on the wife for full permission on a newer bike but when it happens look for a for sale thread. View attachment 20552
Hopefully I get my license 4/25/10 crossing finger! I actually want to get one now!! got the thumb up!
I don't know about "so much fun", but it's very informative for a new rider, and very helpful if you have never actually touched a bike before.
It depends on your insurance company. I know State Farm won't drop it. And I had fun with the class. It's not every day you get to mess with someone else's motorcycle and test your skills while getting your license. It was fun for me
kinda random....but does anyone on here have a Honda CBR 600 F3 that there looking to sell? (or know of anyone trying to sell one)
Insurance companies that give discounts for "Advanced Training" will give you a discount for passing the MSF course. State Farm doesn't, but State Farm doesn't blacklist bikes either - Rates are based on CC's and zip code tables. Downside to SF is that will not write a standalone motorcycle policy. You have to have a car policy with them and then they will do a policy for a bike. I have shopped around a couple of times for cheaper rates - and other companies are cheaper for the car(s) but the bike rates went through the roof.
Bill should get a 650. Both the SV650 and the Ninja 650R are great bikes. As I understand, the SV gives more low-end grunt while the Ninja offers more on the top end. I haven't ridden either one, though.
How about vintage Dual Sports? I may be convinced to part with my collection of Honda XL250s... One runner (1978 needs some TLC, though) and 2 parts bikes (1976). I'd sell all three for under a grand...??
>_> <_< ^_^ Duc Monster 620 Dark. Jill bought it last October. Once it dropped below 45, I was the only one riding it. Stored it in mid November after it dropped below 40. She's going to have surgery to rebuild her knee in March, so I'll be the only riding it this season. Next year though... I'm looking into a Daytona 675.
Yes, your Z was pretty good inspiration. She's way more into nakeds than I am, plus the Ducati is one of the only bikes she can fit on properly
So do I! My girlfriend's bike is bitchin! Also, I'm a girl! (Butt seriously, her bike is really kickass)
EDIT: Alright Bill/others I have full (though hesitant) permission from my wife for a newer bike so check out the for sale add.
