^^^I loved my SV. Anyone thinking about checking out the AMA races June 3-6 at Road America? This will be our 6th year going. Hopefully its not raining and cold like the last few years.
Anyone on here attending the Zero Gravity kickoff ride tomorrow? Its gunna be HUGE! Anyone with a sportbike on here should consider it, so far theres about 200 confirmed riders going!
Would've loved to check this out but it wasn't in the cards. Any results? I'm getting pumped for the AMA races, leaving early thursday morning
Has anyone been to a cycles and coffee event? I'm thinking about riding down there on sat. http://www.automotorplex.com/index.php
I was thinking about it also, if the weather is decent. check out some picks from the last one here http://picasaweb.google.com/bellus.alex/CyclesCoffee51410#
I will try to be there. There are a lot of harleys/cruisers there due to the clientel but it should be pretty cool on saturday
Yeah, I suppose the whole infant motorcycle carseat thing doesn't work. Ben and Brian should still come see me though.
So, I'm looking to upgrade. I found this FZ6 for sale and wanted to know what you guys thought about it. I'm still pretty new to the bike scene. I'm planning on looking at a couple more shops before deciding. I'm also looking for a bike mechanic that could come out and take a look at the bike I decide to go with. Here's some pics: View attachment 22536 View attachment 22537 View attachment 22538 View attachment 22539 View attachment 22540 View attachment 22541 View attachment 22542 The scratches look like they came from it falling over at a standstill and not while in motion. And it was sold, but the guy that was planning to buy it backed out just recently.
The mnsubaru motorcycle ride thread! I like the SV's as well style wise, the non-s version but they are hard to find. Another one I'm lookin at is a Honda 919:
i love my fz6, its a 07. my only real complaint is the uncomfortable seat for long rides but my sv that i had was no diff. the fz6 actually has alot more torque than you would expect for being a inline, which makes the bike comfortable for in town riding too.
SV_650 is a nice bike. I like the v-twin power delivery. Makes the bike very easy to ride. I have a Honda Superhawk that I wouldn't imagine getting rid of. I think the 650 twin is a little under powered if you are an experienced rider. Maybe the SV-1000. I'm a little partial to the bigger v-twins
It also would'nt be a bad idea to run all these different bikes by an insurance agent just for a comparison. Though I craved a bit more power when I had mine and I've said it before but all things considered the sv is hard to beat.
I wouldn't hesitate one bit getting another SV!! Just make sure you allow money for suspension upgrades. Thats one of the biggest down falls of the bike.
I can has bike, anyone trying to ride on one of these last few "nice" days (over 50*F) let me know, I'm always itching to get back on the 600 RR.
I took a spin last night before the rain, I did a nice burnout to finish the tire off. There still is a LOT of life left.
Just put mine in storage for the winter yesterday. Didn't even get a chance to take advantage of indian summer. At least I found someone that has heated storage and is nearly free!
I finished the year with the boat and bike a few weeks ago. Kinda sucked during the nice days but it also sucks trying to get everything squared away when the real cold/snow gets here.
I've got an Aprilia RSV Mille R sitting in the garage that needs to be stabled for the snow season. I didn't get to ride it much this summer due to the intermittent fuel pump problems I was chasing. It took me a couple months (I work slow) to chase down the exact issue, which was a factory flub in the wiring harness that passes through an epoxy filled tube into the inside of the fuel tank. They didn't have any solder on one of the connections. Ever try to find fuel-proof epoxy? Big project. Anyway, got a bike again just in time for a couple rides before winter. Could be worse. Could be raining.
I didnt ride half as much as I wanted to this year, having a child puts a stop to that. Who knows if I'll even have a bike next year, times are getting VERY tough $$$$
I know it's normally kinda boring but the motorcycle show coming up at the end of the week. Anyone going? I ordered a chain and sprocket kit recently and will do tires sometime this spring too. Anyone got anything planned this year?(buying, selling, mods etc)
View attachment 24077 View attachment 24078 View attachment 24079 My plan for this year is to ride the wheels off these! I'll be working the IMS with ZARS (Zalusky advanced riding school), so If you are at the show on Friday or Sunday Stop by and say hi to the fat old guy. Kyle
I'll be heading to the show on Saturday. Mostly for entertainment, but I'm toying around with picking something new up this year too.
