I don't think I've shared my two wheeler yet. I know how many people here love the nekkids but sorry look at it this way its naked under the fairings.


I also spot lots of Subarus while riding so if a fat guy on a little blue bike gives ya a thumbs up feel free to wave. and if its another finger try paying attention to the road or start taking the bus.

I have a job, I ride my bike to that job, it keeps me sane.

 

So nice out today! Two wheels beat out four wheels for sure. Hopefully it stays nice through the weekend...but they are saying storms.

I picked up a new toy today, hopefully it was the right one I'll receive delivery on Thursday!

I went riding today and came back and my left foot was coated in oil. Going straight to the dealer tomorrow after work. I guess that's what warranties are for.

No it's definitely oil. I can see that it ran down the side of the left lower fairing and can see the gasket it's leaking from on the left side of the engine. Bike now has 600 miles on it and it's the second problem I've had with it.

Now it's going to be at the dealer getting serviced tomorrow instead of being ridden on the nicest day we've had yet. Damnit.

 

We are having the same problem with our 07 Kawi. Had the valve cover gasket replaced this winter and it's leaking again after a few hundred miles. FTL

 

They must have changed gasket suppliers in 07, my zzr never leaked anything. and my Z is clean as a whistle too, but its an 08...

 

My guess is its a 600 thing you fgt.

Got it right! I get it on Thursday and right now I still have my permit, so I'm gonna get comfortable with the bike and then go in for the test Hopefully I'll be able to go riding with you guys this summer, at least a little bit

You should take the msf class instead of just going to the DMV for the test. Highly suggested!

Thanks guys! That is part of the plan. I got the bike through motoprimo (I got a bunch of discounts on gear which made me happy). Right now there is a month waiting list down there for the class, but I am planning on doing it not only to help pass the test, but also to help me learn more and I'm sure my parents would greatly appreciate it too. If there is anymore advice you guys have let me know, and if you're looking for an RS, hit me up too

I'm with the other fellas about taking the msf class. I rode with a permit for a few years and could have passed the test easily but I realy feel like I'm a better rider after taking the class. I would find a friend to go with too you'll have a blast on the little bikes. BTW nice bike!!!

Erik, I'm still undecided for the mnsbr spring ride. But we all need to meet up one of these weekends for a good ride! This weekend is looking rainy as of now...

This thread makes me wanna sell my car and realize that it wont be as fast as a bike ... ever!

 

I'll prolly go just not committing in case something else pops up. The last one we all went on was fun but hundreds of random people on bikes squeezed together sharing my lane with people I don't know and haven't ridden with before isn't really my idea of a great ride. It felt more like a parade then a ride. It was cool seeing that many bikes in one place though I'll give you that much!

I'm thinkin of riding up to brainerd next weekend (depending on the weather) to watch some CRA racing. Seems like it might be a long boring ride up there and back just to watch for a few hours though...

 

Nice lookin SV, sounds great too! I saw you riding on polk st about a week ago. I live in the townhouses on the north side of 99th ave and I cut through your neighborhood quite a bit to get to 109th. I've noticed your bike and car in your garage, I bet you never knew you had a stalker!! I'll have to stop and say hi sometime if you're outside.
