I think 20 to 30 subaru's traveling the speed limit would be great!... It would get a lot of attention, maybe even from the news... they love stupid stories.

This is what cruise control is for. At the very least have a car with cruise in front of you. I think it would be an interesting scene, a bunch of modded (or un-modded, whatever) subarus following every traffic law around the 494/694 loop. At the very least break us some stereotypes and be really funny.

Not as much as it will cost in a few more years... If I drive the speed limit it should cost me less than $10.00
I think the guys who did this used to do it right after firestone like, leave early and just do this instead. I think we met you last week at FS. If you go this week you may be able to round up some people for the 'race'
We used to do this by starting around 9pm. Be mindful of construction right now, as all the way around is torn up pretty badly. And the north stretch is the straightest section but probably the worst spot to speed.
yea.....ok I might do this and then do the ins and outs of the loop.....494-35w-694-100-what ever...something like that short of it all drive were ever I feel like going within the LOOP.
Didn't see this thread returning...we did it in under 60 minutes one night, and we were certainly pushing it for acceptable speeds. Good memories, lol.
I'm bumping this because, well, I've been driving the loop, ALOT. (I'm not speeding, just cruising ) one night I'll do it clockwise, the next night, the other way. I'll start at one spot and finish at the same spot. (start at 394, or 35, or 94, & so on....) but I never start at the same spot. lol, the other night I did the 35w/35e 'loop', drive E until it turns into 35, then turn around to the W side, drive until 35 again, turn around back to E, and finish.
It's always pleasing to go for a late drive. Sit back, crack the sunroof, jam to music and cruise the highway.
let's grab the bull by the horns here...I propose tonight. I need a drive. Will be warm, but perfect sunroof and tunes weathers. Let's meet at 9pm as a nod to the OGs (see above) at the Bobby& Steve's on the corner of Washington Ave. and 35W, easy access to 35 and 94. Cool?
